Charlotte Tabs Aaron Fearne as Interim Head Men's Basketball Coach for 2023-24

Would prefer some Aussie hoopsters though fans nice too!

Had a time trying to figure out what to post from Melbourne rockers King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. True music chameleons with most recent albums primarily homages to thrash metal. Ended up selecting something older and a bit more assessable. Guys have come a long way since playing local clubs (and having enthusiastic fans “join” the show) to their recent 3-hour performance at a packed Hollywood Bowl.

How do you say that about his rebounding when coach played him 30’ from the board and played a style where no one rebounds? Despite leaving Charlotte that kid was a unique talent that will be missed. He may become a triple double guy under a different coach.

His defensive rebounding was extremely weak, maybe I should have been more specific. He got outworked on the boards, not boxing out, etc. For his size he played really soft down low.

BYU probably has a better conditioning program than we do.

Aly has a great skill set, but he needs someone to push him in the gym. If he gets in shape, he has the skills to have a good pro career in Europe.

clt says the players don’t seem to change in terms of strength and conditioning

He did lose a ton of weight and increased strength year over year. If you remember he was really pudgy first year.

I do think our conditioned program needs work, but I would use Aly as an example.

You said he was a detriment to the team as a center. He led the team in rebounds at 6.7 per game including getting 16 against Davidson. He was 2nd in scoring and assists. The number of rebounds is really impressive since when he was on the floor he was constantly running to the top of the 3 point line to run the offense. I mean yeah be mad because he left, but don’t try to rewrite history. If he plays down low 70% of the time and only comes outside 30% along with being told to stay back and fight for rebounds, he is a double double potential every game. Sorry, but that kid has as good of shot or better professionally than anyone that played on the team this past season.

Khalifa will be missed. A big loss. No other way to look at it.

He will be missed, but he was the slowest, no jumping center I think we have ever had
But he did give it everything he had !

clt says ally’s back cut passes worked well early in the year. not so much against cusa/aac teams

He was a fun player to watch. He struggled on pick and rolls and was not able to guard athletic centers at all. I loved his play but he will struggle at BYU. Different athletes in that conference

Is the game out of courtesy or a negotiation? Hopefully the game is played 25-26. I want these games in Halton.

I would love to heckle Sanchez

Contract…Healy contract was done that way too.

Play the game in Halton or why bother? The novelty of playing games in the Spectrum Center has worn off.

If we wrote the contract specifically giving the “new” team of a former coach an option of Halton or the Spectrum Center for a game in the QC, then shame on us.
