One question. Does anyone see any positive progress in our program? Charlotte is no longer a basketball school!
Well boys I have ben hard core since 84ā butā¦

Dyou hear? I dont care anymore
I dont care no more
You listening? I dont care no more
No more!
You know I dont care no more!
I care. And when we salvage this season I will still care.
Not even Macgyver can save this team.
Iām not at the point of saying wait until next year. When I look at our roster I think, can we get some type of continuity, chemistry, stability, some time soon? I think we do get decent players. But the make up of our recent teams have just been so unstable, that itās impossible to build true chemistry. Certainly parts of it have to fall on the head coach, but I think our teams make up are in part the reason we see poor shooting, poor sets, etc.
Iām just hoping the roster will eventually be filled with quality players, and a traditional make up of experience and roles.
Our offense is a complete joke... pass back and forth around the perimeter for 20 seconds, then force up a bad 3 or turn the ball over.
All it takes to beat our defense is a few crisp passes around the perimeter, and someone will have a wide open shot. Our opponents have no trouble making those crisp passes, but we cannot do so. Our entire offense stops when Mack gets the ball because he spends 3 seconds trying to figure out a way to take a questionable shot, even if someone else is open
LaMont Mack = BenchAgreed.... until he gets rid of Deangelo Alexander Disease.
How about mixing 4 year players in? Instead, as of late we recruit 2 yr JUCOās to be the foundations of our teams. When the program was successful JUCO players were spare partsā¦backups at best. Best team Charlotte has had of recent featured Michell Balwin at PG(4 Yr), Brendan Plavach(2 yr Transfer and a good one), Eddie Basden(4 Yr), Curtis Withers(4 Yr), Martin Iti(2Yrs and transfer, but 4 yr D1 player). Bobby or whomever the heck does the recruiting needs to get back to this type of formula.
it looks like we are. look at next years group.
There is always next year!
:49ers:
Nice avatar. Maybe we can get Eddie Vedder to write a song about us?
This was the worst game I have ever seen us play. 1-4 ughhhhhhhhhhhhh.
-Gaby is just a waste of space plain and simple
-DEW is not a point guard and flat out is terrible right now
-Coley has no shot whatsoever
-Run a ****ing play!
-Coleman needs to stop taking threes
-Wilderness needs more minutes
-Ian should not be starting
-Can we ****ing finish around the rim!
-Man what the hell happened to Mack?
-Phil needs the ball more
That too.... And a Soccer school....Don't forget baseball.

Agreed. Hopefully we can land the quality portion of that equation.

I get what youāre saying but how can Phil play more than 15 minutes when he fouls out?
Phil fouled out ridiculously early, wit like 8 minutes left.

Right. And if he played more he may have fouled out with 15 minutes left to play. Their big man abused both him and Gaby.

This was a big point in my first post⦠This team got away with a lot of things and there wasnāt really much we could do about it. There arnāt a lot of great west coast teams like there are on the east coast and iām sure all the big west officials came from pac 10 schools and are try to promote west coast basketball. We would of had a much better game to play Wake in the opening round rather then a west coast team.
Funny thing⦠I hear Bobby talking to one of the officials behind the scorers table⦠it had something to do with a 30 second time out and that the time starts when the last player enters the coaches box area behind the line or something like that. The guy tried to bs Bobby and Bobby told the guy āI know the rules⦠Iām on the NCAA rules committee and I wrote the rulesā¦ā ā¦it was really funny. Just showed that all the officiating in the house was trying to give us the short end of the stick.
I really believe that this game was blown way out of proportion because of this. It kept us or our players from getting there heads together and making any runs. Our guys shot so poorly because they kept getting driven into the ground with fouls and getting bullied on the court with no retaliation.
One other thing I was gonna sayā¦
I met Kyle Churchās Dad on the way into the arena⦠I mentioned he was wearing no green and he said he had to coach a soccor game today and that was his excuse. Kind of seemed a bit lame when a playerās dad doesnāt even dress out and show some support like that. Its pretty easy to put on a tshirt or a sweatshirt over your clothes right? I came dressed out with a bright green hat and lots of niner energery⦠got no help at the game thoughā¦
I have not posted in quite some time.
Wanted to see what kind of team we have, and it is not pretty.
Graduated in 1980 so have seen all the ups and downs, but this team is pretty bad.
Lack of offense, jacking up threes, no movement without the ball, one on one, sound familair?
We will be extremely lucky to go .500.
Sad thing is I do not get upset anymore, passion is gone.
Time to make MAJOR changes but I guess we are stuck with Lutz.
When does football start?

Sorry dude, but that is just silly. The officials WERE NOT the reason we got waxed. We canāt shoot, we canāt defend, and we donāt have anyone who can drive the ball. We are apparently soft as well.
Donāt be that guy.
Lutz should subsidize Goldwire with some income for the next 5 years for getting him that extension last year.
Amen to thatā¦
the writing was on the wall last year, but everyone got caught up in beating a couple of average ACC teams and a bad So Illinois team. And Davidson, but we always beat Davidson.
The team Iām watching this year is the exact same team I saw in march of last year that got thumped by Temple and ****ing Nebraskaā¦minus its heart in Leemire.
Iām sick of it.
