Charlotte vs. EZU (12/1)

We need 49erAlumnus to lure us away with Push Pops.
Push Ups are awesome. Way more awesome than SJ, Lebo and ECU basketball put together. I wonder if his mom will let him out of the basement for him to come to Halton?
.
You kidding? She’s probably looking for a reason to get him out of the house.
I heard that she keeps the door locked.
No woman with any connection to ECU keeps her door locked.

Why do you think Guillotineametta committed there so early?
^^^lol +1

That’s not all he does early, HIYO!

Yeah, you were all over how good Campbell was last year.

could we not change the names of people on the board? i dont like this guy either but i find that somewhat juvenile and obnoxious. his ridiculous statements are all the fuel we need to mock him.

A Niner fan board… juvenile and obnoxious?

Sounds like a match made in heaven to me.

I agree. Sokool and SJing are delusional and obnoxious, but they aren’t personally attacking anyone or being vulgar. We always bitch about how the Davidson and Memphis boards would immediately ban us the first time we said anything pro-Niners or anti-them, this isn’t too much different.

SJ the only player on our roster I would trade you for Guilmette (not including walk-ons and JUCO’s) would Bencovick. But that’s it. I would never hand over Thorne, Clayton, or Clark for that guy.

No, this is immensely different.

If you’re a dickbag, you’re going to be treated like a dickbag… but unlike Memphis or Ducktown… you’ll still be around to be treated like a dickbag.

He had 1 star! That and the crow he served me last game was delicious!

I will not be able to attend the EZU game, i’m running the Vegas Marathon on Sunday, I’ll have two tix for section 223 row F(opposite of opposing teams bench), email me if you need em etschlic@uncc.edu

I’d also like to see a NNN poll/ odds/ bets/ on my marathon finish time(with donations going to NNN if possible?)… ran Charlotte Thunder Road Half this weekend in 1:15:49, I’ll be running with former CLT Mile Record Holder Russell Slade he ran a half week before in 1:24:00 at 6000ft and on trails in Colorado so it will be a good show down between us.

Borrowed one of our new jerseys…(got a lot of Go Niners Shouts!!)

This kid is trashing our recruits that beat his team. So if we’re garbage, what does that make a team we own? A double rainbow?

You must not know much about basketball or sports in general because you’re missing one glaringly obvious point. Win. THEN talk trash. You’re skipping a step.

You can have my ticket to the game if you want it…free of charge. I’ve seen enough crappy teams blown out in Halton this year already, and I don’t want to chance one of your players bringing a gun on the court.

You wear purple

IRVING, Texas — East Carolina freshman Marshall Guilmette was named Conference USA Freshman of the Week by a vote from a media panel representing the 12 member schools announced the league office Monday.

Guilmette helped the Pirates improve to 3-0 on the season with wins over Methodist and UNCG. The Kennesaw, Ga. native averaged 9.5 points and seven rebounds in the two wins, while shooting a a combined 61.5 percent (8-13) from the field.

He scored double figures for the second in three games this season with 10 points against UNCG to go along with five rebounds and a team high four assists. Earlier in the week against Methodist, he narrowly missed recording his first career double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.

First of many awards I suspect.

you do realize your first two opponents were d3 teams and the third was uncg? let me ask again, what is your starting lineup?

Could be - how many other D3 schools do you have on your schedule?

Some of this stuff going on is Childish. I for one am appreciative that StillJonesing comes to this board. While I don’t always agree with him, not many fans of other schools drop by here often.

On the topic of this actual game, this game could be a lot more “big picture” than we ever thought it could be. The Big East powers have sworn to not allow Basketball to suffer anymore after the last expansion. If we roll over ECU, it is a direct message to the Big East that we are a better basketball program RIGHT NOW. If ECU beats us convincingly at home, that is a message to the Big East that they can play round ball. Maybe this is a pipe dream, but you have to think the Big East will at least glance at us even if it’s just to replace a market. ECU will obviously be a contender for a Big East spot. If the Big East is truly committed to basketball, as they say they are, this game could potentially have some serious long term ramifications. (If I am looking way too far into this let me know. Just a thought)

Free avatar to go with your cool name there, Fluffer. ;D

I didn’t give him the award. Regardless 10 points 5 boards 4 assist and a block on 4-4 shooting vs a UNCG pick to win their divsion, and who won it last year, was a solid line for most anyone much less for a 6-10 freshman in his first week of action. Those guys usually lag way behind at this level. He assisted on all of Akeem Richmonds three’s durning the run we made in second half and was the reason he had opens looks with his screening and dumping the ball of to him. It was all facilitated through him so his impact on the team was bigger than just the stats, which were pretty good as well.

I don’t know that the starting line up really matters niner55. Several of the guys on the bench are playing more minutes. Lebo gives out starts out some what on seniority. Our best players are looking like Paul, Kemp, and Guilmette so far. Bowden and PRC are playing more than Richmond at guard.

On the other hand your team is 3-0 playing Girl Scout troops and sadly that puts ECU tied for first in C-USA so being at the top of that heap means diddly. :WishIHadAVomitSmilie: We knew that moving to C-USA would be a hit to the basketball we are used to but come on C-USA, punish teams that schedule High School JV teams.
