One team had a 30 year coach tonight. It wasn’t us.
clt hopes we can make the women’s cbi
Looked like they were more than ready for the off season. Good God! That was pathetic.
My observations watching were: Extremely poorly prepared, team looked like they had only one practice prior to playing this game, absolutely no teamwork. Very disappointed.
Just checked today’s tournament results. ECU defeated #1 seed Tulsa. So, as of 8pm on Monday, the top seed is out and the bottom seed is alive. Crazy results.
EDIT: Preseason fave USF also eliminated today.
Edit: #2 seed also loses.
Tulane loses in 3OT to Temple, 76-72
Not the very best women’s basketball conference, but damned sure the very most balanced. One blown(IMO) block/charge call from Tulane advancing to the semifinals after going 3-15 in regular season.
Edit: Rice defeats #3 seed Temple to andvance to the final game. #9 ECU vs #10 Rice.
One of these teams is going to win 4 games in 4 days. Insane.
Rice wins the conference, which is good because that means ECU does not.
Cara to Marquette.
Thank you Cara for leading the women’s basketball program the last 13 years. Best wishes to you and your family.
Good luck to her. Kind of exciting to see who Mike comes up with.Maybe he can talk Judy out of retirement
I also wonder how much this is going to screw with our current recruiting.

Just when Marquette couldn’t be any worse
We should not have any trouble getting a good coach now that we are in the AAC
Will be interesting to see how Consuegra does in her return to Marquette as HC. Golden Eagles were 110-46 with 3 NCAAT appearances under predecessor Megan Duffy, now at VA Tech.
