Losing both HC and AHC in less than a week, plus Lawrence to the TP. Wow!
Going to be a total rebuild. Whoever gets the job here will be able to structure things exactly as they please. The first season will probably be rough, since they will be getting a late start with the portal. Good luck to us.
clt hopes she returns
Twitter is going absolutely crazy over this hire, seems like Hill hit a home run
Looks like a pretty strong resume.
This will be legendary
Welcome Coach Reed. This hire came faster than I thought it could and has a lot of potential. Just sorry that a couple of players had knee jerk reactions and hit the portal, though I can’t really question their decision.
I did notice that Jaycee and Dazia hedged with “option to return”. I’d like to see them in a Charlotte uniform and playing for someone who can optimize their potential.
Jackson State has had two players drafted into the WNBA, which IIRC if two more than we have had here under Cara. This despite us playing in a better league than Jackson State is.
With her background and name don’t be surprised to see her bring in several transfers of her own
I really like this hire. See no reason why she cannot succeed here. However, this could be a stepping stone for her next opportunity.
It is always going to be a steppingstone
Her Success is Shaped by Her Resilience
“Through her story and her leadership, Jackson State women’s basketball coach Tomekia Reed serves as a role model for her players and inspires others to never give up, no matter the challenges they may face.”
So we can hire proven head coaches . Good to know.
Seems like a great hire.
The negative nabobs are already coming out of the woodwork, predicting she will use us as a steppingstone before she has arrived. There are no words to describe these type of fans. Welcome her arrival before you predict her departure.
Who were the people we had drafted to the wnba?
"Tulane University and Tennessee are two prominent openings that could be excellent fits for Tomekia Reed who is an outstanding recruiter and develops players.
A decision to leave would be like her handling a full-court press. Yet, would the right offer tempt the dynamic coach to consider leaping into a higher-profile program and a very lucrative payday? "
I think you are reading into something no one actually said.
