Clyde Trapp Jr. - 2017 G/F offer - signed with Clemson

We offered him today, 6’4 SG/SF out of Lower Richland HS, SC. Good build and very athletic, reminds me of Dorn.

Yeah, I’m very intrigued by this kid. I hope he enjoys his visit here and sees what we have to offer, including getting coached up by Mark Price.

We’ve made the cut for Trapp’s top 5: Rice, Clemson, GT, USC and Charlotte.

He’s clearly a priority recruit for us right now, but I’d have to say the stiffest competition will end up being USC and Clemson.

There is talk that this is Brownell’s last year at Clemson if he doesn’t have a great year. And it is Clemson, so he will not have a great year. The Tiger’s are loving the football success they have been having, just spend tens of millions of dollars renovating Littlejohn, and they feel like they deserve, and can have, a team that is better than tied for 7th in their conference. Anyone signing with Clemson this year is nuts.

Kind of like signing with a coach who sucked, had a losing conference record, had never been to the NCAAs and had heart and eye issues was nuts - but kids did it.
