Coaches show last night

Probably the same way she passed us over to hire Major.

Might be a good idea to take some of this message board angst and call up Lambert at the next coach’s show and simply ask, “Why does Lee continue to start when his quarterback rating is the lowest of our 3 quarterbacks and additionally he can’t run the ball as well as Johnson”

He actually has the lowest QB of anyone in FBS (qualified QB’s)

Highlights from 11/17

-Kalif should be Ok for UK, MRI was good
-Our emergency running back is Nesmith just in case you were wondering if Buie and Duncan went down
-Barden will start
-Lambert hopeful Nick Cook will be back for UK
-Larry O is playing at a high level even with shoulder surgery coming in a couple weeks
-Recruiting Florida is now a top priority
-We will look to recruit Texas more in the near future

Thanks for the recap. Anyone know who is our recruiting director now?

Anyone going to listen in tonight?

Our shows are unlistenable because Matt Sweirad is paint drying. He’s never made a funny, witty, or creative thought. IMG should hire Corey Hodges or the like. Bobby Rozinski has talent too. But once again Matt is family from 1980s U of Jax.

The talent gap was not as big as the score indicated. Offensive game plan was disappointing. Not sure why we don’t throw down the field. Would give Brooks the experience and involve talented wide outs in the game. Effort was great from players. Play calling was just short of taking a knee and collecting a check.

Some of the highlights.

-Barden (shoulder) questionable, hope to make a determination tomorrow. KP and Dozier also day to day.

-Interesting note on the scheduling strategy. Lambert said we will always try to have a money game, so in 2020, 2021, 2024, and 2025 (years of the H&Hs with Duke and Chapel Hill) we will be playing two P5s.

I really hope this doesn’t mean McNeil will be starting again.

Lambert seems to be more concerned with turnovers than he is with wins.

scheduling is strange to play two P5 even though we will need the money, it makes getting to a bowl game harder.

The bowl we can make is 500k payout

Pays more to get 2 BCS tale kickings. 1.8 mil

Won’t we only be getting paid from one of those BCS schools each of those years? I assume we will not be paid from the schools we do a H & H with.

At the current ticket price of $30 a game, that comes to 1.2 million bucks for our home game if we have a 40,000 seat stadium. At $40 per ticket and a 30,000 seat stadium, it’s still 1.2 million.

11/30-Last football show until February signing day

-Lambert discussed recruiting and how his staff approaches it through social media and keeping good relationships with High school HCs

-Lambert said most of the staff left today to hit the recruiting trail hard, he said he would be heading out to Kansas tomorrow (Probably to hit the great JUCO’s out there)

-When asked about the quarterback position he said they will open it up fully in the spring, the first guy he mentioned was Hassan Klugh not Brooks, Matt, or Lee

-Also sounded like he intended to bring in two guys at QB, We know about Joe Thompson so that must mean a JUCO or Grad transfer is going to be the other

-A Bowl is definitely the goal for next year

-Larry and Kalif will likely be our first NFL draft picks in 2017

One thing Coach Lambert mentioned in passing but I liked to hear: while talking about what he discusses with coaches of recruits, one of the things he mentioned was “do they have the academic base to graduate from college?”

I liked that he used the words “graduate from” rather than “get into” or “stay eligible in”.

I hope we put the full court press on him.
