This does not include a probable increase in 49er Club members. If Major lands another job, we can actually make money on the deal.
This calculation works even better… Average 1000 additional tickets per game * Average Price of $15 per game * 15 games = $225,000 in increased ticket sales. We are already ahead of the game.
You really think we will see that much of a bump because Major is fired? Unless we made a splash hire (i.e Larry Brown @ SMU) this isn’t going to happen.
I agree would take a splash hire to see you that kind of jump. However we could be looking at a 1000 ticket swing. Bring Allan back I go from 4 tickets to one and I know many others feel that way. So figure new coach equals 500 new tickets bringing major back equals loss of 500.
Bleeds, you’re probably correct about not making an immediate splash, but we could well have an increase of 1000 in ticket sales after one season, or even on a per game basis halfway through the first season. Include NWA’s logic about losing additional fans in Halton, and the net gain can actually exceed 1000. By the 2nd or 3rd year, we can be making more additional revenue in ticket sales than we were paying Major. Of course, Judy would have to hir the right coach to make this happen.
Adjusting my formulas to include a net gain of not losing an additional 500 fans added to the 1000 additional fans:
1500 New Season Tickets * Average Price of $150 = $225,000 in increased ticket sales. This does not include a probable increase in 49er Club members. If Major lands another job, we can actually make money on the deal.
This calculation works even better… Average 1500 additional tickets per game * Average Price of $15 per game * 15 games = $337,500 in increased ticket sales. We have already made over 100 grand.
