Not sure how much of that is incentives. He canât be earning many of those. There was a discussion of coaches contracts on the CUSA Board. I am pretty confident Lambert was at 600K.
The contract is up in 2020.
The $600k ĂŹs total compensation. We only owe the base salary.
How much is his base salary?
It appears to be $250k. There is a link to his contract several posts up.

Ah the legacy of Bobby Lutzâs contract when we fired him and were surprised we owed him his total contract. At least in this instance we learned from our earlier stupidity.
Buddy Stephens? Seems like a pretty good coach. I was impressed with what I saw on LCU. Heâs a hothead and has a trash mouth so he likely wouldnât last with the current administration.
Mike Houston might be available if we jump early. Most people speculate that he will make the jump to a bigger school for 2018.
of course we will not, and he will end up at ecu
I agree with CLT, but I think ECUâs coach gets one more year, so we have a chance to do the right thing at the end of the season. We probably wont, but we have the chance.

Will Mike Houston become our football version of Greg Marshall?
of course we will not, and he will end up at ecu
Yes but only if he really wants to come here.
Marshall wanted to be here, if Iâm not mistaken he called us his dream job at one point.

Yes, he did. Our timing was off, but my question is would we have even tried to sign him if he was still at Winthrop when we started looking for a coach?
We are getting ahead of ourselves here with half a season to go, but⌠I would prefer to hire a head coach that is having success at a lower level than a coordinator ready to move up. Okay, that is a generalization and would not apply to everyone, but I think there is a lot of value in currently running a large staff successfully. That canât be easy.
