Combine that article with the article below and send them over to the Board of Trustees. Exhibit A & B.

Got curious on replacements

The Alan Major Route.

Assistant that has followed a long time coach around. Top team in Big10 was on finals team from years ago. Just so happens to be Ohio State. I would like to think Kevin Wilson (from Maiden NC) or Greg Schiano here, but they’ve been head coaches and you’ve probably heard of them. Played for Urban, was a grad assistant, now at Ohio State. Is recruiting coordinator. Perfect guy for the Alan Major route.
My pick for the Alan Major Route: Zach Smith
http://www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/smith_zach00.html

The Brad Lambert Route
Team won the ACC 5 years ago, but is trash the season he is hired. Is coordinator for the worst performing side of the ball in the ACC. Cover letter skills unknown.
Well, the 2012 ACC winner was FSU and they are pretty bad this year. They are now last in the ACC in total offensive yards, and 0.1 points per game from the bottom. The Seminoles have co-offensive coordinators so tie goes to the one that looks the most boring.
My pick for the Brad Lambert route: Randy Sanders
http://seminoles.com/staff/randy-sanders/

The Mark Price Route
College standout, Pro standout. Everyone knows the name. Zero coaching experience. So with this I’m going Mark Price. Kidding.
Went and looked at the All Pro Team from 22 years ago. Little different personality here, but need someone still holding on to the game a bit. And we can cite his HS coaching.
My pick for the Mark Price route: Brett Favre

It is apparent Judy just makes impulsive decisions based on her gut feeling at the moment. Logic and reason don’t become a factor.
Exactly. “Gosh, ya’ll.” “he grew up on a farm in Kansas.” WTH is she talking about? Embarrassing.

So true. I’m a big gun guy, pick up truck guy, wear boots, and want to retire with a barn and tractor. But the aww shucks Cracker Barrell image is deplorable in 704. Need an AD who can blend in at Southpark and sip Makers Mark with 100 or so prospects a year.

NC A&T just finished their year 11-0. Maybe this was not as bad a loss as I thought it was.

The other 10 were though.

I’m ok with us going after their coach.

I give them a lot of credit for going undefeated but a FCS team should never come into our house and punk us like that. We made a come back late in that game after they stepped off the gas and probably started playing backups.

Looking at this glass half-empty; thinking about where we would have finished in the MEAC is hella depressing… :’(

Pass on any coach with a WVU connection

I was glancing at the FCS playoff bracket earlier today, and when I saw Elon was an automatic qualifier for winning their conference, my gut reaction was this: “if Lambert is fired and Judy gets to hire his replacement, Elon’s HC is realistically as good as we can hope for.”

Edit: I don’t know anything about Elon’s coach or season, I would have said the same thing about Gardener-Webb or Cambell 's HC if they had a good year and made the playoffs.

I still would lik to have Houston from JMU. He has won in high school, LR, Citadel, and now JMU. I think he is in his early 40’s and seems to have a little fire. He used a running game at LR and Citadel, and now a spread at JMU. He actually uses a system to fit his players. He may already need to go bigger than us, but I know his salary was about $250k at JMU so we should be able to afford him.

I know he is the #1 person for Ga Southern’s opening.

Elon was not an auto qualifier from their conference as JMU won the conference.

Elon’s Coach has a good pedigree as he was an assistant under Saban and at NC State so he has connections to the State. Not sure why anyone would complain about the hiring of anyone who has the record and resume he or anyone similar has put together.

Three home wins in three years! We have the most craptastic coaching staff in the country! 17-42 after five years. We are only going to see more of the same unless he goes. Email the chancellor before Monday.
