Harris/Wilderness > Young/Butler? Get out of here.

I don’t remember freshman Braswell being that great. Do you?

I don’t recall saying he was great but he’s better than ANY post player we’ve had in a while. But a quick check on the all time points, rebounds, and blocks list might help you out on that question.

  • I had to edit this for accuracy

I never said he wasn’t. You take what I post and reply with 3 things that I didn’t. I was also at every home game.

All time list? My example was freshman year. And I’m talking overall team.

You can twist whatever and act like I implied this and that but all I’m saying is, is this starting 5 THAT much better than our team now?

ā€˜09-ā€˜10
Record (19-12)

Dijuan Harris Sr.
Derrio Green So.
An’juan Wilderness Jr.
Chris Braswell Fr.
phil Jones Jr.

Young

Butler
Braswell (I kicked Threadgill out)

I explicitly said Jamir is a star. In BOTH posts. And yes wilderness is MUCH better than Butler. But Dijuan had what very few of our current players have (remember I said very few), heart! Plus he was a much better floor general than Jamir.

Honestly, if I had to nit-pick Jamir for anything at all would be that. So yeah I’m taking that backourt over Michael J and Fraud Trapp because I know that backourt will make plays and play D every single game. Jamir can’t do it alone which he often does with Fraud. Imagine Goldwire playing now in the pace and space era?

Those teams were overall MUCH better than this team talent-wise, defense, bench, everything.

Butler is way more effective on both sides of the ball than Wilderness his junior year.

I’ll leave this alone.

Oh so now it’s not both teams just the one you want to cherry pick. I’m guessing no bench too? Ok fine. Yes it’s better. Braswell (almost averaged a double double his freshman yr) would kill ANYONE we currently have down low.

Phil Jones would get every rebound and wait in the paint for one of the Fraud ill advised forays (if he’s not to scared to drive into the paint) to block shots. Or maybe he’d wait for Butler to get in the paint for his two in vert while he tries ANOTHER reverse layup.

Wilderness would come up clutch because he did it more than ANYONE on this team (except Jamir). He would body Braswell (current team) and funnel him to older Braswell or Phil. And if you’ve watched any of their games you know you gotta run current Braswell off the 3-line bc he doesn’t like to drive.

Go look through the annuls and pick another team that has less talent. I suggest any of the Price or Sanchez teams.

The ACC is down this year no doubt but their talent level is much higher than what our current conference has, even in a down year. Imagine what Hayes and Seabron (on the worst ACC team) would do in this conference?

Geezus, theres a lot of BS in this post.

So instead of using facts in response to what I said you call it BS? Cool, thanks!

Since I do pay attention to Pack hoops - come from a family in which four generations are NC State alums - I can imagine what Seabron and Hayes could do. Former is definitely a candidate for Most Improved Player in the ACC, while latter would be in the running for Most Disappointing Player if such an award was given. Whether either would be the hands down greatest thing in C-USA I’m not so sure.

Fair enough but that would be in comparison to his peers at NC State. My question was, how would they do at C-USA level.

Unfortunately spot on right now

Also I didn’t say they would be the greatest. I implied they would perform even better than they are currently.

Can’t argue with that after the way Wake beat the living shit out of us.

There us too much wrong to even start…

Hmm I recall Wilderness hitting the game wining shot vs Wake Forest but I guess that was a dream…a dream that made SC highlights. Oh well lol

Yea. I meant this year.

All of these posters always saying this and that but now the cat got your tongue hahaha.

Be honest y’all the real reason no one wants to agree w me is bc it goes vs the Fire Sanchez bring back Bobby themes.

It’s cool.

After Wilderness injury he was never the same player

Looking back over the LA Tech vs NC State box score from OOC play and the Bulldogs’ Lofton had 36 pts and 17 rebs at PNC. So at least in one game, C-USA did OK.

Wouldn’t take much for Hayes to have better stats, especially with five scoreless games and only three double digit ones in State’s 14 ACC contests.
