In the case of braswell, trapp and butler, rhey would have received more PT. Braswell played a lot at the end of the season for a cuse team that went to sweet 16. He would certainly start on this much worse cuse team. Same with clyde. He played 2nd most minutes on a clemson team that is much better than the current one. So ehat if butler played in the patriot league. There are a lot of good players in leagues like. Jallow, yes, probably was gonna see less PT at osu this season. Perhaps they transferred here bc they like ron, or felt like they didnt want to be at their old schools any more.

So tell me if I’m understand you correctly? Those players transferred from better teams (last year) even though they were gonna get more minutes this year??? Sure.

I feel like Michael Corleone here. You’re pulling back into this haha.

Butler’s stats are worse across the board here compared to HC even though his role/importance to his team has remained largely the same. Proof that his talent level was better suited for the Patriot League.

Braswell is the only transfer who’s playing way better than last year. He’s a keeper.

Fraud Trapp. Please stop w that guy. Could it be… possibly Clemson knew he couldn’t provide them w anything more than the 8 pts, suboar shooting, lackadaisical D. That was in 28 min a game. How are his stats this yr, I wonder ?

Jamir is the star with a couple of decent pieces that can DEVELOP into good pieces. Brice is definitely a good talent but he’s not playing this year. Only judging this team.

Saying that anyone likes Ron including players is not allowed in this forum so that argument will not be analyzed haha (jk that could be a good reason actually)

It’s possible both arguments are partly true. It could be true the older team had slightly more talent. It’s also true that older team had slightly better RPI because the league we were in was better.

Do we still have the gulag?
Asking for a friend.

You talk alot-----as if you know a lot. The problem with that, is the more you ā€œtalkā€, the more obvious it becomes that you know very little about which you speak. One example— Butler was THE guy at HC. He is not here.

Exactly. Butler is putting up good numbers, similar to wjat he put up as a junior at H.C. id be worried if a guy from H.C. was our best player. Of course his production took a dip from his previous school but that doesnt mean he is a patriot league level player. If trapp was such a liability for clemson and he wouldnt have started this season, why did he start all of last season, including in the ncaa tournament?

It’s not talking. It’s posting. Big difference. I’m sure you know that though lol.

I just read my post again, yep I said his role is LARGELY the same. Meaning it hasn’t changed much. Now he’s the second option not the first, hence why I said LARGELY the same.

His per game averages (pts, rb, 3pt%) are down from last yr even though he’s playing the same amount of minutes and he’s not the first option.

Trapp, he’s always been a meh player whether it’s here or the ACC. Braswell didn’t start for Syracuse and he’s a better player that will have a better career. Starting, by itself, without looking at other factors doesn’t equate to being a good player.

Me ā€œtalking a lotā€ is because I’ve been reading the same posters POSTING about how much good talent we have. That’s not true. Like I said before. One star a few good pieces for the future. That’s it. No more no less.

Btw I love the personal attacks haha. They are so insightful full of fresh ideas. Thanks guys !:+1::rofl::+1:

Someone that uses objectivity and reason! Can this be lol?

FWIW, Butler wasn’t the leading scorer last season for Holy Cross, though he was a very close second. Was the leading rebounder and ball thief.

Hey genius. Thats why i put ā€œtalkā€ in quotation marks.

And we love your largely baseless opinions and how you claim they are ā€œfactsā€. Good stuff.

I’m still confused

So nothing about the rest of what I said. That Butler has basically the same role with less result. Nothing about the fact that I originally posted about past teams talent being evidenced by their inclusion in Niner record books. How about the fact that I said Braswell is the only keeper of the bunch bc his stats (an accurate measure to base facts on) show it?

Gotcha those weren’t facts, right?

Nah, the only opinion here that matters to you (and others) is that I must just be a blowhard that knows nothing simply because my posts don’t align with your thoughts about this team.

This thread is about firing Ron. My original post was to disprove the theory being peddled this team had a lot of talent. It doesn’t. I’d prefer using another line of reasoning to evaluate Ron’s performance, that’s all.

Once again, thank you for making me feel welcomed here. I appreciate the love you and others show a fellow Niner :grin:

You are no Niner. No Niner could blow so much BS smoke up about an overrated ACC.

Hahahaha. So now your basing your ā€œopinionā€ (you like the quotation marks) that I’m not a Niner because I said the ACC is better than C-USA?

Seriously :joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:?

You know you’re right. When my family and I were all accepted we didn’t sign an oath to be so hardheaded and stuck in hatred for the ACC that I can’t use reason to make my decisions. We also all forgot to take the oath when we graduated to stick my head in the sand and not see the realities surrounding me.

You got me :+1:.

I read posts ALL THE TIME saying the C-USA teams suck so bad that ā€œI can’t believe we lost to that crap teamā€. So which is it. The C-USA sucks or not? Make up your mind.

Btw, the last paragraph based on facts. Look through the hundreds of posts on this site for reference.

Troll

No please not that…no…please no! Don’t call me names. Anything but that.

Lame

This post again based on facts hahah

I don’t get the arguments here as to whether we have more or less talent. If we lose because of talent or because of coaching, it falls on the coach either way. Likewise, the same if we win.
