There was a window here for Ron to make a run. I think that window has closed.
There are at least 6 games left and we’re already 2 games above .500. I’ve said all along that if we finish above .500 he’s not getting fired. Please note that I do not think this will happen, but if we go 6-0, he’s not getting fired. The window is definitely still open.
Having said that, if we lose to both Marshall and USM, and still have a plus .500 record, he’s got to go.
The window is the conf tourney, at this point nothing else matters
Agree - thats the only shot he has.
I’m really hoping for a change (barring winning the CUSA tourney) but I’m bracing myself for a lot of excuse making about progress.
A “window” with a curtain!
Same… Unfortunately

I think we should look at keatts, mike white, siddle at uncw, bob richey, mark byington, if ron is fired. Im forgetting some names.
You are legit expecting us to lure the current H.C.'s of NCSU and Florida here?
I read those as expecting Keatts and White to be fired. I do know there are plenty of Pack fans who want a change - all you have to do is turn on the Afternoon Rush on ESPN 730 and get that sentiment from Mark Yarbro.
Yeah, I’d bet dollars to donuts Keatts is fired at the end of this season. Not sure I want him though, seems to be trending downward. I’d rather get a young up and comer from a lower level, but still Division I conference who would like to get a 500% pay increase.
Seems the Keatts’ tree doing better than he is, especially Siddle at UNCW.
The deal is they committed to ‘invest’ to get into the AAC, which means $1m+ bball salary…… this translates to a Coach who has had winning HC experience in the past, maybe not their last job.
There will be at least 15 or so coaches from lower level DI conferences dancing this year. Many of them probably make less than $200k a year. Lets get one of those guys who turned something around and has a vision to win.
Currently watching 18-7 Towson playing at 19-7 UNCW… Or maybe I have their records switched. They’re almost the same. Anyway, I’m jealous of even their atmosphere.
One thing I really miss is having students behind both teams’ benches. It looks great on TV and really creates a home advantage. I hope the AAC lets us do that, and that we are smart enough to do so.
Also, Re: UNCW coach - they are struggling to score. I really don’t like their offense. The ball doesn’t move enough. Lots of dribbling and then someone just puts up a shot. No flow whatsoever.
It looks like he is trying to rely too much on individual talent.
Our students this year have been great! They just need road wins to really go over the top.
Had posted this elsewhere but appropriate here too. UNCW’s Siddle and Towson’s Skerry are Medcalf’s choices for CAA:
