No more excuses. Sanchez can get the players to make this a winning program or he canā€™t, but if he canā€™t, someone can. Lutz had lean years but he had fantastic years between. Things change.

The A10 could not have been any worse of a league for our basketball. The AAC should be much better for us. The best coaches get the best players and they win. Ricky P is probably winning his purgatory conference, probably getting the best players in his conference.

I wonā€™t absolutely shut the door on Ron, but time and excuses have to be running out very soon, unless he makes it to next year with a meaningful season .

I think the win last night gives him a pass for tomorrow, but if we lose to UTSA you know this thread will be flaming hotā€¦

It will be another year of Ronā€™s boring style of ball but against tougher competition.

Havenā€™t seen an OOC schedule for next year so not sure if tougher or not. AAC wonā€™t be much different than C-USA.

18 wins for the first time in over a decade. Should get to 19 for sure and could surpass 20 so there is ZERO CHANCE RON IS GONE.

I understand the anger of Ronā€™s style and how long it has taken but for godā€™s sake itā€™s been forever since weā€™ve had a chance at a 20 win season. I was a freshman in 2004 and saw really our last good team. Yes I know those older on here will laugh at 2004. But folksā€¦.thatā€™s nearly 20 years. Iā€™m enjoying this. Ron needs to stay.

Get out of here with that ā€œmiserable folksā€ crapā€¦ I was in school from 99-2005 so Iā€™ve seen great niner ball alsoā€¦ how many years do you want to give Ron to get us back to the NCAA tourny?? That should be the measuring stick, sure a 20 win season is great and all but as Jobey said today NCAA tourny is what every college basketball player and fan want to experienceā€¦ hopefully we can get there this year.

Of course! Iā€™ve been miserable as well for 19 years. Had season tickets forever and finally couldnā€™t stand it anymore. BUTTTT this is the most Iā€™ve been interested in years. GO NINERS!

We are 18-11 and 9-9 in cusaā€¦no it doesnā€™t. Thats still bad, especially against this schedule

For all of you that say this thread should die and that Ron haters are quiet nowā€¦ where are we in the cusa standings? Where are we in the ncaa tourney hopes? If Ron finishes #5 in CUSA, some of you think thatā€™s enough for Ron to get another year? What if he loses 1st rd of CUSA tournament or just wins one game?

We are freaking 5th in CUSA right now and it seems some think Sanchezā€™s job should be safe right now. Itā€™s unreal. This is his 5th year!
