Fire Ron Sanchez

But dud the 2001 class win a post season championship? I think not. Greatest niners team ever.

In the same interview he says fans need to study up on his OOC, he says best since 2001. The old timers know who needs to study up here. WTF

Ron Sanchez needs to study Bobby Lutz. Sanchez is a joke

337 SOS.

Sorry Ron, this isn’t 1980 where fans just have to take your word for it. There is a mountain of data that proves you’re full of shit.

At this point Ron needs to just be quiet. Anything he says makes things worse.

Seems like there should be a meme with audio clip of him saying that.

Ron is trying to sell it, only he doesn’t understand that you don’t have to lie to sell, unless of course, what he is selling isn’t good for the consumers he is targeting

He’s here next year, so be it.

But I despise it when someone pisses down my back and tries to tell me it’s raining.

Everybody that’s knows a damn thing about basketball knows the ooc schedule was soft as Charmin. I hate when people try to talk down to me.

Hell, I hated when Lutz would have a wtf loss and come out and say some shit like “ The average fan doesn’t know how good Monmouth is”.

Get the fuck outta here with that shit

I mean I’ll give him it ended up being a better schedule than it first appeared, which says more about what they scheduled and what they expected, because it still wasn’t good.

AD has to give a rosy outlook up until the coach gets fired, it may not reflect how he sees Sanchez in reality. A public honest assessment of the last season would undermine the chance for success, and make what may be a bad decision to retain the coach doomed to failure (recruits already reluctant because of recent results are even less likely to come if they think the coach will be fired soon). Especially coming right after they won something. We used to argue like crazy about contract extensions, and there have been some bad ones, but if you’re not going to fire the coach then the AD has to extend them out at least a couple years into the future for recruiting.

I don’t think they need to try to convince us this season was the best since 2001 though, that’s just not going to work. Just say you think things are improving and that you hope to see continued movement in that direction.

OOC SOS over 300, so how bad were they expecting it to be?

Exactly.

The whole “extend the coach a few more seasons otherwise recruiting will die” argument is a farce to me when players can leave at the drop of a hat. Coaches and agents makes these arguments to get paid. If you want to improve recruiting wins games and play a style players find appealing.

Maybe try not benching your best player for half the season if you’d like to keep him. The style and rhetoric is infuriating. I hate picking on players, but that JT gets the most or near the most minutes on the team is maddening.

Yeah the recruiting line made sense years ago. Now it’s makes no sense. The only reason to have a coach under a long multi year deal is he is winning and we need a big buyout of a bigger school hires him away.

I’d be interesting to see what other programs comparable to us (I.E. mid majors) are doing vis a vis contract extensions for their coaches. If we think Hill is an idiot, are other ADs idiots, as well?

With portal being so new probably have to wait a few years and see how it has impacted contracts. Probably still have to give 4-5 yr deals at the start, but after that I don’t see the old you need at least 3 years under contract line to be necessary.

I don’t think Hill’s an idiot but I do think staying with Sanchez is a mistake.

Who was it on here that use to make those cartoon-ish funny short video mocking the AD/coaches?

So I conclude from your remarks that Hill giving Sanchez an extension is understandable even if it turned out be a mistake, but will be stupid if repeated in the future?
