I didnāt know that, but also agree that heād be a solid hire. I wonāt go as far as saying home run hire, but frankly we just need someone to bring stability and winning to the program.

I think the daughter took another job elsewhere after working for our university. As far as I know, the son remains with the AD.
You are correctā¦i just realized she took a position recently with the Seattle Seahawks.
Schinnick already being discussed as replacement at Colorado.
Firing a coach mid-season does a few things: getās some attention in the media (both good and bad because while you get a few headlines and chance for a nice quote from Hill about culture, it also calls attention to the current record and how bad we actually are), but also sends a signal to fans that we want to win and at a time when we need to fundraise like never before I think itās worth the interim coach drama for a few weeks.

The AD should decide the timing of the firing they want to do (now vs end of season)ā¦ and then do the opposite.

Yāall thought this would be bye bye week, didnāt you? But itās just still gonna be our bye week after all. 
I was never a fan of the mid season firings unless there was a permanent replacement already picked. Interim coaches are a disaster waiting to happen with the portal so active.
Also, I still want our AD to bring in Meyer as our head coach. We need a proven winner and with 3 National Championship s he checks the boxes. Problems with the Jags be damned.
If you have zero confidence of anyone on the staff to step up you could actually make the situation worse. Firing in season has a few legit benefits but not sure it really makes a big difference.

Yeah who are we gonna promote? The oc nobody likes or the dc running the worst defense in football? Might as well ask Phil to come back as a guest coach.

Jacksonville proved how shady this guy is, Iāll pass on Meyer and any organization that brings him in as a coach.
If Meyer gets back into coaching I seriously doubt it would be at our level. There are plenty of P5ās who would gladly sell their souls to hire him. For now he probably makes more money doing television than we could pay him and has to do half as much work.
