I still donāt understand why some people seem to be personally offended that weāre starting a football program. Most of them have already decided itās going to be a failure, so why would they care at all?
Because it doesnāt count unless they can tell eachother how much weāll suck, demonstrate their bare minimal knowledge of us, our situation and college sports, and then stroke each others egos and other things.

The thread really wasnt that bad until some of us went over there and then it became an āus vs themā mentality. There seemed to be a bit of support from most posters on that first page apart from those 2 douchebags. We are always going to have one or 2 of āthose guysā trying to belittle us from here till the end of time. It shouldnt really bother us.

Iād say there have been some neutral responses so I guess those arenāt bad. I just get tired of the BS falasy (check that word for me PB) that folks get all riled up over us and making fun of us for starting football. If we truely didnāt matter they wouldnāt feel the need to belittle us.

One of my engineering professors finished putting an example on the board and turned to us and asked ādoes anyone see anything wrong with my example?ā A girl in the class, which was still a rarity at that time, said āyou misspelled difus(s)ionā. He looked at her in consternation and said āare you here to learn to be an engineer or a secretary? Because secretaries get paid to fix spelling issues, but engineers had better make sure the math is right.ā
Now I donāt necessarily agree with him but I do wish Spell Check features on message boards were more user friendly. :-[
