Green Line

Quick, direct response from Mr. Barnes.
Bingo! We got a good response! Everybody e-mail this guy, and tell him you want the line that leads to UNC Charlotte GREEN!!!

BarnesDistrict4@aol.com

We can do this! Let’s go!!

This is starting to look promising. Let’s keep it going in a respectful, professional way, folks and we can GIT 'ER DONE!!!

Green means GO! And GREEN should GO to NINER NATION!!

I’m sure the Chancellor knows who to talk to … Why not get him on board the green line idea? If you can secure an e-mail from the Chancellor saying he backs the idea, I’m sure that is worth 100 e-mails from randoms on our board.

Ktown, can you translate this…I think it’s Jimmy hitting random keys again, but you never know…east coast translation please.

And Jimmy, we still boys.
I would be happy to translate:
You don’t want yo mess wit Olaf…he will F you up…
James is telling the ladies not to mess with his man unit (nicknamed Olaf) because it is heavily diseased.

**East Coast Translation…of course.

And Jimmy, one word for you: Penicillin

If anyone here has time, we need to try and start attending these meetings about the transit lines and get our request into the discussions. Here is the Observer’s article today and listing of meetings on transit. See y’all there!

http://www.charlotte.com/mld/observer/news/local/states/north_carolina/counties/mecklenburg/14300513.htm

Upcoming meetings

April 25: noon-2 p.m. and 5-8 p.m., Eastland Mall Activity Room, corner of Sharon Amity Road and Central Avenue.April 27: noon-2 p.m. and 5-8 p.m., Matthews Town Hall, 232 Matthews Station St., Matthews.

GREEN MEANS GO! AND GREEN SHOULD GO TO NINER NATION!

I will bring this up in Student Senate. We will pass a resolution echoing the student body’s opinion that it should be called the green line.

You guys do realize the blue line runs from pineville to concord right? It’s not a line just for UNC Charlotte. Are you going to complain when South Charlotte is called the green line too since it has nothing to do with the school?

Excellent! Keep Niner Nation updated!

Can you be in charge of keeping tab of this meeting, and creating a reminder thread a few days before the meeting? This is the precise forum to get our voices heard, and Niner Nation should make it a priority to be there in full force!

Not a problem, but if it runs through NINER NATION, it should be the GREEN line. Thanks for your support. BTW: I live in south Charlotte, so GO GREEN!!

I’m planning to attend the 4-25 meeting at noon at Eastland Mall. I’ll remind everyone a few days before then.

Pineville? I thought the Blue Line ran along Northeast Charlotte (University City area)

The Pineville to Uptown and Uptown to UC and beyond are considered extensions of each other. Just that.

hmm all the things I’ve been reading in the observer lately have been calling the south charlotte line the blue line.

Could be. I didn’t pay attention to colors, but I’m certain that CATS referred to the North line as a natural extenion of the South line.

Here’s the reply I got from Michael Barnes:

"Good morning.

I think the renaming you suggest is appropriate. The big challenge is actually getting a line in NE Charlotte. The selection hasn’t been made yet. Please follow this process throughout the summer."

LET’S ROLL NINERS!! ON THE GREEN LINE TO NINER NATION!!!

Michael Barnes should be the new Lance spokesperson.

Great job guys. Let’s keep the e-mails consistent!

The Public Relations Committee of the student senate passed a preliminary resolution asking for the green line. contact SGA Senators and let them know how you feel so that they will vote for this in the full senate. You can find their contact info by strolling around the SGA website probably.
