High School Football
Statesville Greyhounds used to go deep in the playoffs years ago. :-[ Not anymore.

Garinger? I didn’t know you were a gang-banger, Nick? :))
clt says raider ruckus son.

No doubt. My alma mater is back to using the Clemson logo after having their own logo on the helmets for the last 10 years. The colleges or pro team gets monies for the teams using their logos via rights fees. Sometimes, the high schools will alter the colors of the real logo or change the lettering on the logo slightly to match with their school.

Hell Yeah! Big Red is always a blast to watch. They run a misdirection offense that is spot on. I am at a good number of their games, so if you wanna watch the Red Raiders one friday night give me a hollar!
GO BIG RED!!!
SPH alum or Belmont resident? Or both?
Both. i actually live near your parents. Just off Hanks Creek Lane. Class of '83

They won the 3AA championship last year.
Wait so you know me? Or I know you?

I went to the MC-Indy game and it was a butt kicking. It should have been worse but Indy stopped MC on downs twice inside their field. I don’t think MC plays Butler this year so we may have to wait until the playoffs. I don’t see MC losing during the regular season the way Williams played Friday.

Was surprised to see South Point get beat by 2 TD’s.

My boys (Eastern Alamance) rolled again 20-0 giving up -6 yards rushing.

Probably heading to the Catholic-Providence game this week.

AAA Big Red has been opening the season against one of the big SC schools the past few years. They just cant seem to win south of the border. Clover is one of the top AAAA schools in SC. Clover got a TD on a nice kick return and SPH was missing an important fullback. They should have things straigtened out next week!

Charlotte Catholic beat S Meck 40-25. Pretty sad that the Battle of Pineville has 2 Charlotte teams. (The Private & Public local HS aren’t even in P-ville.)

& the Hounds barely lost to AL Brown. :’(

And the Rock Hill South Pointe should have had to pick another name. It’s too close to the Belmont South Point.

Anybody heading to a game tonight?

I’m heading to First Assembly (coached by Mike Minter) @ Charlotte Christian. Lot of smack talk from Minter and we’ll see how good they really are tonight. Here’s a thread about Minter and what others think about him from NCPreps.com - http://ncpreps.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=1112&tid=146344864&mid=146344864&sid=958&style=2

Other good games this week are Catholic-Providence and South Point-Lincolnton. Also Rock Hill South Pointe-Rock Hill Northwestern play tomorrow on ESPNU.

Thinking about taking the trip to L-Town to watch Big Red slaughter some Wolves.

Good. But the bad news is you could see top HS athletes leave the state

Or just enroll in a private school in some cases.

Tru dat…

And people thought private high schools had an unfair recruiting advantage before…

This will be ridiculous.
