Kevin White new AD at Charlotte

I am the same way NA! Prove your good! I guess I am suffering from fan fatigue. I stopped caring about the basketball program years ago. I use to have season tickets. Just wore out from all the loses. Now I just support football as a season ticket holder for 13 seasons. But, that has been getting more and more depressing. This AD needs to show me and all the fans he can deliver! Then I will say positive things about him.

Just under 24 minute vid of Athletic Director U interview with Kevin White and Notre Dame Deputy AD from 2023.

See that while serving as Georgia State associate AD that White took on interim duties for football scheduling in 2013.

Also mentions that he spent a year with ISP Sports (now Learfield) in ATL as a gameday marketing operations assistant for Georgia Tech men’s basketball games.

Hopefully he will get us back with Learfield or something similar to get our games back on a regular radio station and not streaming.

Much like Mike hill would be a perfect #2 guy. Settle in for more of the same.

Yep, the whole radio thing is baffling with WFNZ having stopped airing Niner MBB games etc since the beginning of year. Of course, even more baffling is that there hasn’t been any explanation as to why that’s the case.

Number 1, hill had no fundraising experience, white has a ton

Number 2: this guy has been at 4 schools, hill was at 1 for a while. Completely different trajectory.

I definitely understand being in the wait and see approach but already saying he’s going to be like hill before he gets here is ridiculous.i doubt he’s okay with coming to Charlotte to settle in for tge next 25 years and retire.

Definitely not settling. We are a stepping stone on a path to P4.

Exactly. Memphis has been a well run AD. I doubt they’d consider hiring hill. Sometimes I think we just like to hate everything

Gotta sell those Barbasol ads…

I just think there is some disappointed that we didn’t hire an AD who was already a sitting AD whom had a good track record of hiring a Football and/or a Bball coach.

Hill & Judy struggled with this aspect of the job as well, so we would of hoped it was one of the hiring criteria.

I’ll give my opinion in about 3 years.

I have no problems with this hire, but I’m not getting excited about any hire we make ever again until they do something positive.

I am going to withhold judgment until I at least hear him speak at a minimum. Some great points have been made on here. I like the age, background and career trajectory. Much different than any AD we’ve had in 30 years. Hell i like him just for that. Of course we’ve only had two. White has all the opportunity in the world to prove himself. I hope he knocks it out of the park.

This HIre doesn’t move the needle.

I think we are all looking for a jolt to the system.

Without the comparisons to Hill this looks like a great hire and probably better than we could have hoped for. And honestly the comparisons to Hill are weak if you really look at both of their resumes. White has a much wider range of experience and from 4 different athletic departments. Chances are we aren’t getting a successful sitting AD from another FBS school and if we did it would come with a huge buyout. Who knows if White will be successful, but on paper it looks like a really good hire.

I feel just the opposite, I think that after Judy and Hill, the needle is moved significantly.

Our achilles heal is Football, we are not competitive in FBS nor in this upgraded conference, how does this hire help Football?
