Keyshawn Woods - 2014 G - signed LOI to Charlotte

Are you using sarcasm or do you really mean it this time?

Serious this time.

I like this kid’s game a lot. But watching that highlight video just made me drool over James Demery, damn I wish we could land both. Demery is an NBA athlete without question. That would be one hell of a backcourt.

Signed today.

I love that we just signed a guard with a high basketball IQ and a nice mid range shot. Haven’t really had anyone like that around since…?

Most important thing I see in that writeup:

What Charlotte is Getting:
“He is consistent and does not play outside of what he can do.”

I want to know what he CAN do before I get too excited about him not going outside of it.

im sure if you look through the thread you can find links to articles about him but from what i have read it sounds like he has a great midrange game, plays good defense and is a very good scorer. it sounds like his weakness are that he is only a pretty good athlete and sometimes settle for jump shots.

well then. maybe we can recruit over him! ::slight_smile:

Key will be a great addition to the Niners. Everyone should get out and watch Northside play. They start 5 Shawn Lesters and Dink, Joe and McInnis have those guys playing balls out from the opening tip !

I’m surprised a religious school like Northside would let them play with their balls out but hopefully at least Woods will put his back in so that legal issues don’t keep him from coming to Charlotte.

Welcome to the board btw!

NinerJ is spot on. They are fun to watch. All five starters will play at the next level. Northside plays an extremely uptempo offense as well as a tenacious defense.

They play United Faith on Saturday at home. Get there early because the place will fill up.

Notes: Saturday’s big United Faith-Northside Christian game is moved.
Because of a funeral being held on campus at United Faith, the highly anticipated Northside Christian-United Faith boys’ basketball game is being moved to Northside Saturday at 4 p.m.

The game will feature several of the top players in the city, including Northside senior wings James Demery (St. Joseph’s) and Keyshawn Woods (Charlotte), who are both Division I recruits, and United Faith’s Division I recruit, senior Nehemiah Mabson, and sophomore guard Ty Gadsden, who has an offer from Charlotte.

I also laughed at the title under my avatar…

Not sure who is responsible for that…but that’s pretty funny

Keyshawn scored 22 in a W yesterday vs Hickory Grove.

Led NCA in scoring with 22 in a win over nationally ranked Wesleyan who is led by 5* SF going to UNC-CH.

One heck of a game tonight. Keyshawn played under control tonight. Theo Pinson did not. That was basically the difference in the game.

How did his points come? Driving, jump shots, 3s?

RT @PaulBiancardi: A strong performance tonight by future #Charlotte 49er KeyShawn Woods. Can flat out stroke it along with the size to defend and plays hard!
