Northside cracks Max Preps National rankings @ #19:
@ebosshoops - Charlotte signee Keyshawn Woods has been outstanding in first game of #UAshowcase. Looks like a steal. 6-5 wing doing it all
RT @JayJayUSATODAY: Charlotte signee KeyShawn Woods took home MVP for his 22-point, 6-assist outing in Northside Christian’s win. #UAShowcase

Original post said 6-3, and I assumed that was the usual inflated listing. If he’s tall enough, he could play wing for us interchanging with Lester. I’m looking forward to seeing him play for the Niners.

Perhaps he has grown 2 inches.

From the postings, I assumed that Lester was more athletic than Woods, which would help if he’s smaller than a lot of the other sf’s out there. But we aren’t facing too many really tall lineups either requiring more height at sf, so he probably could play some sf either way.
Keyshawn was 6’-4" last season and is 6’-5" now. He and James Demery (6’-6") both grew some since last year. Who knows if they are finished?
Keyshawn’s game is much like Lester’s except that he is a MUCH more consistent outside shooter. He could play 2-3 for us.
I’m 40 and still growing.

If there’s a new coaching staff next year, it should probably include Dinkins in order to keep this kid. If he’s as good as this article says he is.
Anther example of how Major seems to have no trouble getting talented players to the school, coaching them and keeping them is another story.
It’s the “keeping them” that bothers me. Clark and E Vic were two of my favorites. I suppose I will never know exactly why they left. Hopefully, we can keep the team together for next year.

EVN had someone in his ear telling them to go somewhere where he could be the #1 guy to increase his NBA chances.
I know those are the reason that “got out” on why they left… but you just have to wonder if Major had any sort of people skills if he could still have kept them here…
It amazes me that the guy can get the kids to come play for him, maybe he tells them lies like they all do, unlimited playing time, being the man ect… but then can’t keep them here…
The promise the world then make them earn it goes on at 100’s of programs across the country, after seeing the team play this season I think there might have been deeper reasons why the left… like gamer said I don’t think we will every truly know all of it.
Woods sounds like a fantastic player, with each article he sounds better and better. Wish he was walking into a more stable situation. Will be interesting to see if he ends up at Charlotte. If he’s really top 10 in NC, that’s impressive.

2k is telling the absolute truth on Clark. Seen the proof myself.

I never said 2k didn’t tell the truth, I was questioning motif not result.
If either of these guys were told they could never EARN more PT for Clark, more shots or whatever being “the man” even means for EVIC why wouldn’t they stay?
Did Major pretty much say you have a roll and it isn’t changing, just seems stupid for a coach to be short sited like that…??
Injuries happen, play goes up and down, the two of them could have had huge PT and been featured in the offense if other players started playing like junk (twill earlier this year, Thorne in the middle)
I guess in the big picture doesn’t matter, but it looks more and more like the three players that left the team this year for whatever reason are the reason Major should be fired. And if he is retained, I’d put big money that at least 1 transfers out this summer.

I recall when Major signed E-Vick he said that he could be the next Tyre Evans (Dude from O.St could have name wrong) Obviously this never happened so Major may have over sold E-Vics family on what their son could be and that started the chirping.
No Clue on Clark, but he did come from a high powered high school so maybe he just assumed he would be the man? No idea just speculation.
Clark started and was playing about 20mpg during a long stretch of the season. What more can you truly expect as a Freshman?
If a kid wants to be the “man,” don’t you think they need to earn that? EVN hadn’t proven during his time to be that. EVN leaving was a shock to the staff and players. Clark wasn’t.
