Lost (May Contain Spoilers!!)

Locke was shown in the plane for sure. Remember they had to carry him onboard the plane due to the special wheel chair not being able to be located. Sawyer… I am pretty sure we saw him, plus we know that he was in austrailia so his presence on the plane would fit in.

Bumping for what looks like to be a big episode tonight… can’t wait!

Yeah, I’m excited as well and it will make for a great distraction from Niner news. The previews look very good and hopefully we find out more about the guy with the balloon. Seems like the previews clearly showed a balloon caught in a tree but I’m not sure that clears him from being an “other.” Looking forward to this episode more than any other ones this season. Hope it lives up to the hype.

I have to say i am disappointed, maybe I was just expecting too much. Great ending , but other than that, eh. The Locke shit was pretty boring and just the same shit with his Dad screwing him. Henry knows the hatch and how shit works so that is interesting… Think he is in for some serious torture.

Lost is starting to lose its appeal to me. All they seem to be doing is adding on layer after layer and never resolving anything. Too many layers is just making it bloated and boring.

Next week Hurley seems to be getting the “sickness” and has been eating a stash of hidden food everytime we have seen him the last couple of months so maybe something is in the food.

ya i expected more out of this weeks episode as well but it was still a good episode with a really good ending I cant wait for next weeks episode but what I really cant wait for is prison break and 24 back to back on monday…24 is the greatest show on freakin earth anyone else agree???

To me, this episode was like a boxer who does nothing for 2:50 minutes of a round and then throws a flurry of punches in the last 10 seconds to steal the round. The first 50 minutes of last night was very slow and boring IMO. It heated up at the end but it wasn’t really enough to carry the episode as a whole.

It’s obvious that the food drops were current unless the directors failed to realize that cardboard boxes of food would deteriorate in poor weather. Assuming they were fresh drops, I find it incredibly difficult to believe that none of the castaways ever heard/saw a plane. Those were HUGE cargo nets of supplies so it’s not like a hanglider could have dropped them. Maybe they were dropped right before the (assumed) plane crash but the group has already gone through some heavy rain storms. Just seems like yet another plot flaw to me.

Personally, I’m finding 24 to be more entertaining this season whereas it was the other way around for me last year. I’ll keep watching but Lost needs to pick up the pace.

Yeah… that was a pretty slow episode. The commercial made it look much better than it was. I agree with the “too many layers” comment. At some point they are going to have to start giving some answers… if they drag everything out too long, people are going to start to lose interest.

By the way…anyone want to guess why in the hell Kate has remained silent about the other bunker she found with Claire and the French lady??? Why wouldn’t she rush back to tell Jack and them about this.

And speaking of Claire…where the hell is she? Was the primary character 3 episodes ago and has been completely MIA for the last two.

And why would Henry Gale be in a huge balloon by himself? I find it hard to believe that someone would by flying out in that area alone, in a basket that appeared to be big enough for multiple people. His driver’s license was issued in Minnesota FWIW.

Someone must have been preoccupied last night, as Claire and baby Aaron had an impromptu doctor’s appointment on the beach over a fever. Jack assured her that it had broke, and they went their separate ways.

Food for thought - timing of the food drop with the blast doors being closed. Hum… I believe that the Losties must use that same path frequently as two groups were walking on it to bump into one another, so the drop must have been recent. Also, could the food have been dropped by a hot air balloon? No noise, and might explain how a balloon could have crashed on the island over a month before this drop. And if Locke knew enough to tell the guy to go through the air ducts, then why in the heck did he spend so much time trying to raise the blast door?!? And I really feel that “Henry Gale” is up to something - perhaps an other that killed the real Henry Gale, and is using his identity to spy on the Losties??

Completely missed the part with Claire. The first 3/4 of the show last night was pretty slow so I wasn’t paying much attention. I still find it odd that neither she nor Kate have discussed what the found with anyone.

Based on the size of those cargo nets and the gross weight involved, I find it hard to believe that balloon could have handled that much weight. Those things aren’t designed to carry that type of mass. If that’s the case, it’s just another far-fetched notion on the island which is something the writers don’t seem too reluctant with.

Dunno…just seems highly unlikely that anything other than a cargo plane could have dropped a load of that size.

Here are a couple of pictures of the map on the blast door. It was strange that the black lights came on when the doors went down…

I think the supplies are fresh. I also wondered why they didn’t hear the plane unless the plane was so high that you couldn’t hear it. Think about the jets that fly over, you don’t always hear them and you don’t know if the drop was made during the day or at night. I wonder if we’ll see Desmond, I bet he would would have been expecting a food drop if it is routine, unless the drop is in relation to the doors coming down.

The episode was rather slow but the ending was different than in the past, not a kumbaya ending as they usually are.

We don’t know if Kate or Claire haven’t told Jack about the other hatch. Just because we haven’t seen them tell Jack doesn’t mean they haven’t. There’s not really much to tell anyway, the hatch was deserted.

I hope we get more answers regarding Henry Gale and the diagram that Locke saw on the blast door. Chances are he won’t be telling Jack about it since they aren’t seeing eye to eye these days.

damn, i guess i was the only one who thought last nights episode was pretty badass. While I agree they coulda done with maybe 1 less flashback, i think they add/remind the viewer of who these people really are and what effects them.

  1. Who the f**k is “henry”?! if he says who he says he is, than who did he kill, and why did he leave his id. If henry and the associated story we’ve been told is the guy in the ground, than who the hell is the guy in the hatch? Is he part of Zeke’s tribe? How does he know about the hatch (as he obviously knew the numbers pretty well)? Did he turn on the blacklights or were those part of a routine? Was he the button pusher before Desmond??

  2. Jack can play some cards, and I’m sure Sawyer was none to happy. How will the “if/when i need the guns, i’ll get the guns” statement go over. I bet none to happy, and will Sawyer actually pay up on his debt. And how will #3 effect Sawyer’s, BMOC status as far as amenities go…

  3. The supply drop, definately a new drop. What dropped it? I doubt it was the balloon. Did the drop have any correspondence with the blast doors closing? What prompted the blastdoors to close anyway? Why are the blast doors needed in the first place?! Also didn’t Henry seem curious about how old the food was last week, did he know about the supply drops? What else is in that big package? Food, detergent?, medicine?, guns, ??? How will they use the new supplies?

  4. Pretty sweet blacklight map. Pretty much is a map of the entire dharma complex as known by someone, or as being discovered by someone. Why only on the blast door? Why only visible in the blacklight? Who drew it (Desmond, “Henry”, some other previous crashee, someone from hanso, etc.)?? It seems from the map there are 4 discovered hatches and 2 possibles ones, our group thus far as found 3 (the “main” hatch, the Kate/Claire/Rousseau hatch, and the hatch from the ana/eko group). Where are the others, whats in them? What will they find if/when they get to the central location with the “?”. There’s more than one language on the map… english, french?, latin?. It definately indicates multiple (possible) accidents on the map. Is this where “the others” came from… a failed experiment gone awry. Will Locke be able to remember any of it, and will he tell the rest of the group about it?

  5. Will Locke’s miracle of walk be partially taken back from him? Is the island turning on him? Will the islands “main ally” become more a main of science?

In my download of watching the show (unfortunately the only way I can watch it, but it makes for easy rewind/rewatch)… I don’t get the “next weeks preview” scenes… but from what I’ve heard it seems some more good episodes are upcomming.

Think that Locke’s dad is the “real” Sawyer?

24 is kicking Lost’s ass this season… This is the best 24 season ever IMO

OK here it goes, last night’s episode was awesome. Yes there are more layers, but they are all building to the same answer. Here are the questions from last night…

Could Locke’s dad be the REAL sawyer? If so that means that our “Island Sawyer” is in fact looking for Locke’s dad. We know that Locke’s dad was a big con man just as the REAL Sawyer was.

The foreign lady Locke was doing the inspection for could be Sayid’s flame that he has been chasing.

The drawing on the hatch obviously points out the other hatches. Lots of info on this, but who drew it? Obviously with the black light it was meant to hide what they knew from the Dharma folks. Was it Desmond?

The food drop looked like it came with a parachute. Did the lockdown happen in conjunction with the drop? (that is my opinion atleast)

Who is the dude in the hatch since we know he isn’t Henry Gale. Who was the REAL Henry? Was either the real Henry or the fake Henry the “Him” Desmond was looking for?

Did the fake Henry really input the code and everything went back to normal? Or did he do something else that unlocked the doors and reset the timer? (that is also my opinion) I think he obviously knows more about the hatch than he is letting on.

What happened in Thailand with Jack? He sure did not want to talk about it.

I also think the big dudes that were after Locke’s dad are the ones that cause Locke to be paralyzed through a crash or a gun shot… something. I am also thinking that they some how may kill Lock’e woman.

Loved last night and those are just my thoughts/questions! The more questions mean the show is getting that more complex. Why are people so set on getting answers? The best part of this show is trying to figure out what is going on and thinking on your own. Next week’s looks good because we finally see the Hurley/Libby connection since he said he recognized her from somewhere and we know that they didn’t see each other on the plane as she stated. What is she hiding?

And for the record yes 24 is kicking serious ass!

24 is kicking Lost's ass this season.... This is the best 24 season ever IMO

Definitely better than Lost but I can’t rank this season of 24 that high, despite it being really good. Did you watch all previous seasons in their entirity?

My personal rankings of 24:

#1: Season 1
#2: Season 3
#3: Season 2
#4: Season 5
#5: Season 4

I read that they have prepped for no less than 4 seasons of Lost but more than likely, five. I hope that they have enough compelling scripts to fill that much space or Lost could go downhill fast. Of course, it’s easy to fill up one season when every other week is a friggin’ repeat.

Locke was indeed doing Nadia’s home inspection.

Nice pick up.
