Lost (May Contain Spoilers!!)
Definitely better than Lost but I can’t rank this season of 24 that high, despite it being really good. Did you watch all previous seasons in their entirity?

My personal rankings of 24:

#1: Season 1
#2: Season 3
#3: Season 2
#4: Season 5
#5: Season 4

I read that they have prepped for no less than 4 seasons of Lost but more than likely, five. I hope that they have enough compelling scripts to fill that much space or Lost could go downhill fast. Of course, it’s easy to fill up one season when every other week is a friggin’ repeat.
I have never missed one episode annd this is the best season by far in my opinion. Now if you have watched some of the seasons like in DVD I think that could give you a differennt perspective. I have watch every epi in tthe season it aired. I am shocked you would rank this season so low.

I found Walt!!! He was on My Name is Earl tonite.

Let’s leave the 24 rankings on the 24 thread. Lost has only been around for 2 seasons so let’s not jump to conclusions that it’s all going downhill.

Check out this site, a blown up version of the map Locke saw.

I’m curious as to how Henry Gale will get out of his situation now that Sayid knows the truth. I think he knew Sayid would find out because he really wanted to make sure Locke had his back before he was let out of the hatch. Personally I don’t know how Locke could trust him after seeing proof that he lied.

I also am not sold that he entered in the code correctly. Hopefully we’ll get more answers. Does anyone know how many more new episodes are left before the season finale?

Plain and simple: Tonight’s Lost kicked friggin’ ass.

Who’s jaw hit the floor when the guy showed Hurley the photo where the bald guy wasn’t in it? That completely caught me off guard, as
did the very end.

Previews for next week look great with Jack attempting to confront the others.

i thought tonight sucked. I could give two craps about Hurley all he does is make me never want to eat again. I wish that they would have focused more on “the other”. The only part of the whole hour i liked was when he said "HIM! He’s nobody."
i kinda figured the guy in the hospital wasnt real, like when the ball went right over his head in basketball, nobody though they were all insane recognized him other than hurley.
i thought tonight sucked.
Yeah it did.

I think tonight’s episode was good…

I thought Libby was normal but afraid not…

this episode put me to sleep. i don’t know why i keep watching this show. i suspected dave wasn’t real the minute the dr. took the photo. i figured it would end up showing no one next to Hurley. i saw “a beautiful mind”, after all.

sucked, sucked, sucked. why the hell isn’t anyone telling Henry and The Others WE JUST WANT TO GET THE HELL OFF YOUR STUPID ISLAND, WE’LL LEAVE YOU ALONE TO YOUR POLAR BEAR GAMES IF YOU TELL US HOW TO GET OFF

I started thinking he was not real from the beginning. Similar to Fight Club.

Did anyone out there with TiVO check and see if anyone else in the mental ward is also on the island. The nurse that brought the meds was kinda called out or focused on for a second.

Man, tough crowd.

I enjoyed it after not really caring too much for the last few. I thought all of the Hurley stuff was very interesting and I think some of you are wanting too much, too soon. The producers have already stated they are planning on five seasons of Lost. They’d never make it through 3 if they provided resolution to all the things people want to know. Lost doesn’t always have to be action-packed to entertaining. Last night was the first time in a while that I didn’t find myself multi-tasking while watching the show.

I thought it was really good but it looks like I’m in the minority.

It was decent for a “filler” episode where we didn’t really learn anything about the island. The mysterious island stuff is what really keeps people watching the show, and sometimes the flashbacks get kind of boring. At least we’ve had several weeks of new episodes in a row, so I’m not complaining. I saw the imaginary friend thing coming from a mile away though.

Based on things I’ve read, this was said to be the last calm episode before the storm. The last 5 of the season, #s 20-24, are supposed to be action packed. Also, take note of the number of episodes I just listed - 24. Other than ‘24’, most shows only have 22 new episodes per season. Many people are complaining about the re-runs, but all shows do it - we just notice on this one because it’s a major show with major story lines. For next season, they are considering doing the programming in blocks - 7, 7, & 8. BUT if it’s done this way, the new episodes will start later in the fall than other shows… And be prepared, we’re supposed to have a major cliffhanger at the end of this season… Get your gripe on now

I found this to be helpful…

I’m with you JCL, I thought last night’s episode was great. I didn’t catch on to the imaginary friend. I do think some of you are expecting all the answers rather than trying to figure things out. I want to know what happened to Walt but once he comes back think of all the information we will learn. It’s only the second season so I don’t expect all the mysteries to be solved. Kick back and enjoy the ride.

Now last night I learned that Hurley killed people by going out on the deck. Was this mentioned before? I guess we can add Hurley to the list of murderers on the show, Sawyer, Kate, Sayid, Eko, etc. Did anyone else catch what Dave said, “see you in another life.” That’s what Desmond said to Jack when they were running the stairs in the stadium.

Gotta love Sawyer, “Hey there deep fry!!!” Deep fry, Jabba, Stay Puff, whoever is writing his lines needs to keep it up.

I enjoyed seeing Sayid once again prove Henry is a liar by bringing out the message written on the money. And I can’t remember who made the comment but it is interesting that he’s an other yet he got caught. Maybe he did want to get caught.

Did Henry enter the numbers? Last week he said he did but last night he said he didn’t.

Overall all I thought last night’s episode was very good. Next week looks to be even better.
I guess we can add Hurley to the list of murderers on the show, Sawyer, Kate, Sayid, Eko, etc.

Good point. Didn’t the Others (guy from the back of the plane that infiltrated the group) say they took all the good people. Also Henry said he was a good person while Sayid was interogating him.

"Did anyone else catch what Dave said, “see you in another life.” That’s what Desmond said to Jack when they were running the stairs in the stadium. "

I did catch that. The conversation between Jack and Desmond on those steps keeps coming back into play. So far we have that statement last night and the other episode where Anna is running down the beach and Locke said," you’re running like the devils chasing ya". The exact same thing Desmond said to Jack on the steps.

For the record I liked last nights episode but did figure out Dave was not real pretty early on.

I thought it was a bit creepy when Henry said that even God doesn’t know about the island any more than the losties do. I am freakin’ dying to know what the hell the Others do there.

Right at the end of the eppy when Hurley and Libby were walking off screen, the look that came over Libby’s face was just plain dark as hell. Her appearance in the mental hospital immediately following made sense bu MAN was that a bizarre look on her face.

OT:

Saw every episode of each season in its original air time and I can’t put this season anywhere close to the first 3 in terms of originality, suspense, drama and storyline/plot. Just lags at times and I feel the writers are running out of creativity. Don’t get me wrong, I love 24 and this season has my attention far more than Lost does. But I think season 4 is the only one it beats out but that’s subject to change since it’s not over yet.

We can resume this debate in the 24 thread if it’s warranted.

I guess we can add Hurley to the list of murderers on the show, Sawyer, Kate, Sayid, Eko, etc.
Can we legitimately do this though? The deck was designed to hold just a handful of people and there were like 23 on it when Hurley walked out. You can argue that had anyone at all walked out, the same thing would have happened. I think it's more of a case where Hurley just feels responsible for an accidental death because of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

OK so Hurley walking out there caused the people to die and this was BEFORE he knew the numbers, but yet he says the numbers are bad luck. Maybe it has nothing to do with the numbers and infact Hurley is bad luck??

does anyone not think that the island is hell? i mean the opposite of being saved is Lost. the kids are “okay”. Hell is absence of God, and in the last episode “henry gale” said “God doesn’t even know how long we’ve been here”
