Time to bring this thread back up. I’m looking forward to tonight as Lost is the only show I have to watch on TV these days. (My Name is Earl and The Office are goodd though)
From all reports it’s supposed to be interesting from here on out. Looking forward to it, will be a nice diversion…

You should check out House. I like that show even better than Lost. Better yet, they both came on tonight.
Agree 100% about House but WOW on the ending of Lost tonight. Rest of it didn’t blow me away but I didn’t see the end of this one coming. At first though, I thought Michael shot himself in the heart but obviously not the case based on the previews for next week.
Killing Hurley’s woman was obviously more of a reflex shot than anything else but I wonder why he killed Anna? Some sort of brainwashing or illness from being around the others perhaps.
I think Michael just shot himself in the arm… I’m assuming he is planning on letting “Henry” go now and blaming everything on him. Maybe he has made some kind of deal with the others to get Walt back. I wonder if his whole story (22 people, canvas tents, etc.) was made up or if they are another group of Losties.
I won’t miss Ana Lucia… I found her kind of annoying anyways.
Very Lost. 57 minutes of yawn followed by 3 minutes of "y'all come back next week."
Tintin
Agree. They apparently opted to take a boxing approach by “stealing a round” by doing nothing for 90% of the show/round and then finishing strong so you’re left with a positive impression. The 2nd half of House was far better last night.
Interesting point MP. I think you may be right about Michael being offered a deal for Walt. Since Henry was coming after Locke but never brought him back, maybe Michael’s plan is to deliver him for Walt. And the whole “we can take them” is just his means of getting Locke there.
Hopefully, next week’s episode has more substance for the full hour and not just a late flurry of action as was the case last night.
Last night went from a 5 to a 10 in the final 10 minutes. Can’t say I’m upset that Ana Lucia is gone, she seemed to be pissed off at the world everytime they showed her.
I think Michael was captured and released by the others. His story of the others living in tents doesn’t jive with Claire’s memory plus when he woke up he said his head hurt. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for next week.
Anyone catch the commerical for the Hanso Foundation? This must be part of their plan to release additional clues about the show.
Also saw this about the script that Sawyer (who had some great lines again last night, Mamasita) was reading called Bad Twin. It’s now a novel released by a sister company of ABC.

I love the Office…Great show!!!
Does anybody else think that Hurleys woman is still alive? It doesn’t make sense to play up the mental hospital thing and then just kill her off without exploring that.

Yeah, I saw that… There was a toll free number on there. Did anyone call it?
I found that to sign up for the newsletter from Hanso you must get the password off of 877HANSORG. I will keep trying.
Now for all those that said the first 90% of the episode was slow I think we need to take a step back and look at it again. First we have Jack’s dad and Ana meeting and going to Sydney… why? Jack’s dad seemed as if to need protection, but from what? And who was that he visisted? He said he had been paying mortgage on the house for 11 yrs… does that mean he fathered a child there? Is it possible that Jack and Claire are related? How does this all fit in? Also found it interesting that they ran into Sawyer there.
The other part of this is Hurley and Libby… he obviously is starting to recall seeing her somewhere. Will be interesting to see if he puts it together.
We also got some information from Henry, that he was coming for Locke and that Locke is a good guy. What does that mean and was that true or just another ploy of Henry trying to get under the skin of Locke?
While the first part of the show was somewhat slow we picked up some more info and it helped set the stage for the end. As for the characters, the writers say that Michelle Rodriguez said when she signed on it would only be for a short time, that she did not want to do a long term tv deal. So Ana is pretty much dead, Libby on the other hand might be in a coma or something, because Hurley told Mike he was glad he was alive in the preview. If Libby could talk she would tell everyone what Mike did and Mike would be locked up, but at the end of the previews of next week he did kinda look locked up, so I guess we shall see.
And they say we need tougher penalties for DUI’s. I would say getting shot in the chest and written off of a top 10 show is pretty severe. I wonder now if they were driving home form their wrap party when they got their DUI’s of if they are being punished by the producers, it would be interesting to know the real time line on all of that.
As far as Jack’s dad running into Sawyer, don’t forget they meet up in the bar and have a conversation about Jack.
That was a pretty badass epi. I think Jack’s sister is on the island with him. (Clearly Jack’s dad was trying to visit his daughter).
I never really cared for Michael before this episode and now I really dislike him…

I may have mentioned it in a previous post but if not, there were some reports online that she wasn’t very well liked on the show by her fellow actors and that she may end up being killed on the show. And of course, her run-ins with the law certainly didn’t help. This wasn’t the first time she had been in trouble for an alcohol related crime. I hated her character and she did nothing for me in the eye candy department so I’m happy to see her go. Now if we could just get more Kate time.

Actually it was written into her contract from Day 1 that she would only be around for a year. She negotiated that as she personally didn’t want to be tied to the show for more than 1 year. They considered re-writing her death after the DUI because they didn’t want people thinking that they killed her off for that, but ultimately decided to go through with it.
For those that did not like the Bernard/Rose espisode, according to USA today there were a few hidden clues in that episode. The name on Henry’s ballon basket said Widmore Laboratories which is the same company that made Sun’s pregnancy test. And I don’t know what this means but Bernard’s partial S.O.S. sign in the sand made a frowny face and the song for that episode was by Otis Redding who died in a plane crash.

Kind of dumb on her part considering this show has been far more successful than any other thing she’s done. I guess she’s hoping for stardom in her upcoming horror movie that will be lucky if it doesn’t go straight from production to Blockbuster Video.
And despite that possibly being written into her contract, there were still a lot of rumors surfacing about her not being a favorite among the other actors. Not too hard to believe that based on what I’ve seen/read of her.
