Lost (May Contain Spoilers!!)

W.T.F. was my response after finishing the episode. Good one all the way through I thought.

Ana knowing Jack’s dad and that setup was kinda wierd. Does Ana know that was Jack’s dad? Do we know how he died?

I’ve also heard that Libby/Ana were gonna get killed, partially due to the DUI incident. Doesn’t surprise me. That said, I thought Ana’s character, while not particularly likeable, was good for the show and allowed for some good moments. Unfortunately I don’t think either will make it. Will be interesting to see if Michael now takes that roll.

I still think there are 2 seperate “other” groups. The ones that are described by Michael (either another group of Losties or some island experiment gone bad), and the Henry/Zeke/Beardman group (Hanso folks). And which of the two groups actually “captured” Michael… We shall see.

Michael’s motivations for his actions in the hatch?! Can anyone say they saw that comming?! I think not.

Looking forward to next week.

PS - I also 2nd/3rd the fact that The Office is a great show.

I wonder if Lost was ever pitched to HBO? That would have been one great combination to have…

hmmmm… Lost without commercials?! an extended version of Kate’s shower exit!!! That would be sweet. Of course if that had happened, I probably never woulda seen it as I don’t get HBO :frowning:

How and when before they go back to the just found hatch and review tape and see it was Michael as the trigger man.

Fun, fast, paced. Lots of reveals. See Lost writers. You don’t have to bore us for 55 minutes and give us a hook. You can do episodes like this.

The season as a whole has been pretty boring so it’s obvious the writers just saved the good stuff for Sweeps. Just a shame that there’s only a few episodes as good as last night though. Thoroughly enjoyed last night and the next episode should pick right up where this one left off.

I agree… great episode. Will Eko and Lock tell everyone about the new hatch? There is definitely some kind of faith vs. science theme developing. Next week looks even better…

I was just wondering about this, but were they recording what goes on? Since it’s a VCR someone would have to constantly change the tapes.

Overall it was a great episode, not too much of a backstory but enough to learn more about Eko.

Was the psychic the same one that Claire went to visit? I didn’t think it was but a few friends say that it is and that he was lying to Eko when he called himself a fraud.

Did anyone else thing there was something behind the wall that John punched? Possibly another way into that particular hatch.

I think so…

I thought that at first, but John didn’t have seem to have an unusual reaction when he hit it, so I dismissed it.

Good episode last night… I liked how it was all on the island with no pre-crash flashbacks. The 2 hour season finale next week looks awesome.

btw, anyone else notice what Desmond was typing into the terminal at the start of the show? If you've got VHS, go rewatch it... it appears as if he's typing in the numbers, and then hits the execute button.

you can just go rewatch it on ABC.com now

Any thoughts on Walts comments about the others not being who they say, pretending? He said they were making him take tests…so it goes along with the experiment/study theory but is there more to it?

I think Walt was eluding to the fact that the “Others” are not primitive people living in tents. This was obvious during Claire’s flashback. I’m curious as to the tests he’s taking and I’d like to see the “room” that Ms Clue referred to. I was under the impression that one of the experiments was remote viewing which was how Walt showed himself to Shannon but now I don’t think that is the case, I think he can really project himself to other people. Can’t wait to see his backstory, hopefully next season.

I thought last night’s episode was great, Jack needs to listen to Sayid, he’s the only one that isn’t so gullible to believe everything he sees.

I’d like to hear Ms. Clue dialogue again. She asked if Walt had ever been lost or appeared in some other place?

They did show the background, at least some of it, on Michael/Walt and his mom. I don’t remember anything weird about Walt then.

And who’s on the new boat?

All I have to say is Sayid is the F’ing man!!! I can believe the rest of them are just like :“ok Michael will do it your way, what ever you want”. They hardly even know that dude. I can’t wait to see him die…

whats up with sawyer getting all manlove-ish with Jack?! doesn’t seem in line with the rest of his character, but then again of all the complicated people on the island, I think we know the least about his backstory.

i know most didn’t like charlie’s character and were glad to see him sorta fade out for a while… but count me in for one who thinks there needs to be more of him.

did anyone else catch that “mrs clue” only indicated that michael and walt would be free to go… she didn’t mention hurley/jack/kate/sawyer’s freedom. I wonder if michael realizes this… definately the “others” are part of the hanso foundation and the ones doing the tests on the island. the girl (in the 13days ago mini-flashback), is obviously the one that helped claire/baby escape (speaking of which, does anyone else know about that hatch yet other than claire/kate???), alex. I bet she has some interesting parts next season. I’ll predict a reunion with her mom (rousseau) sometime in season 3.

btw, thehansofoundation.org website that ABC put up a while back, has been updated recently (corresponding with the start of “the lost experience”). if you want more information on what the later is (if you don’t already know, the best fansite is at www.thelostexperience.com).

speaking of other hatches, locke/eko seem to be keeping the info of the existance of the pearl hatch to themselves. also where was locke walking off to at the end of the episode?! the sailboat was definately a twist I didn’t see comming… is it the others? or someone associated with the hanso/dharma initiative, another group of losties?

The 2hr Finale should be awesome!!!

if you’re interested in a possible spoiler… highlight the text >> in the last lost podcast, which is available through itunes for free, as well as a couple of other locations probably, the writers indicated that desmond would be making an appearance in the finale… <<.
