I like Echo, he seems to be a good guy but I don't care for Michelle Rodriguez (sp) character.
As far as Michelle lightening up, she is probably a little uptight because she was in a plane crash and stranded on a deserted island with 22 other people for several months with no sign of rescue and 18 of you fellow survivors have been slaughtered by some strange "other" people inhabiting the island. She is the Jack of the tail section survivors, that is why they will end up screwing....
Nah, that’s the roles she takes. Look at her credits on imdb.com She’s not exactly Audrey Hepburn.
I missed his name. Is Echo the guy Sawyer referred to as Shaft?
I enjoyed the Hurley episode the most.
My problem with the show is that most of the flashback are not
Entertaining
Relative to life on the island
For example Locke in a wheelchair, Sun and Jin and the watch, Kate getting bounty huntered helped the story evolved.
Hurley and the dude from Road Trip was just a bit of fun. I’m OK with this.
On the other hand, Mike giving up Walt and regretting it. We saw it last year. Locke’s issues with his father. We saw it last year.
We knew that Sun and Jin got married. He was common, she was rich. He did bad things and she was going to leave him. Why do we have to see how they met?
I’m so much more interested in seeing the dynamic between MR and Sawyer, Jin and Eko, even Claire and Vincent than Jin running over Sun cause he was checkin a skirt.
damn… i thought it was next week they started back up. I was offered, and took, some tix to the SA/CLT NBA game tonight… Guess I’ll ban myself from this thread till I find the time to download/watch the episode.
And it was abundantly obvious who did it the moment the gun went off. Was Walt warning them or luring them?
I’m so glad they’re going to tell the Tail Section story now.
Was obvious within the first five minutes of the show she was gonna die since there was already a leak it would be a female the focus was on her from the start. I didn’t like her at all either so good riddance.
And the translation of Walt’s backwards talk was “They’re coming and they’re close.” Was referring to the “others.”
Overall, I thought last night was the first good episode in several weeks. Glad they picked up the pace because it was getting pretty bland. And I’m glad as well they will now catch us up with the tail section. Will almost be like watching the show from the beginning again in a way.

This is a good opportunity to get people on board who have missed it up until now. I’m recommending to my friends to start watching so they can get half the story the same time as the rest of us from the moment of the crash. I’m mildly amped up about next Wed.
That was awesome. Good character interaction and development. The flashbacks were part of the story, not THE story, people were killed, reveals made, Locke spouting wisdom, and best of all, no Jack Fox. Good times on the island.
On a personal note, I was really hoping that the dog would have been the one to die. Talk about a major twist.
I thought Michael was gonna die. He’s a weak character anyway. The only reason he’s somewhat compelling is because of his relationship with his son. And his son has been gone for several episodes, so he’s bound to return and have a larger role soon. And since his son is “special” and ‘the others’ want him, it would only make his character more interesting if he had to deal with the death of both of his parents.

Maybe Walt was warning them about the new group instead? I think I might be more concerned with some stranger with a gun.
Couple points:
I’m not going to say she is dead just yet. If she’s dead then that’s the end of the Boone/Shannon story. The promo’s stated someone gets lost and the other chick got lost.
Jake was in Wednesday’s episode. He came up to Shannon in the hospital but it was the other doctor that talked to her.
I’m thinking that the French chick stabbed Shannon thinking she had the “sickness”, and seeing this Ana shot the French chick. Ana is a cop (as will be shown later in her flashback) and maybe it relates to her flashback of being a cop who couldn’t save people. We never see who kills Shannon, and that didn’t really look like a bullet wound to me.
