I think the EM lets Desmond go back and forth in time like he did before. Which is why it seems possible that the two realities we are seeing are the same, and he is getting the Losties ‘re awakened’ or something.
Even as I write this I am in doubt. No doubt that it’s almost impossible to predict anything. Damn the producers and their amazing talents.
[ul][li] Great episode, finally we get some action on the island again! Couple of thoughts:
Illana says she has been training her whole life for this mission, then she blows herself up. She wasn’t trained very well. Even Artz the school teacher knew to be careful with the dynamite, even wrapping it up but she didn’t do any of that. She should have listened to Hurley her told her to be careful.
Hurley’s restaurants are the new McDonalds.
Ben helping Locke in the sideways, makes me wonder if he will help Locke on the island after all.
Jack knows that Locke is dead and Hurley told him that they needed to talk to Locke, yet after Locke called Jack out (interesting), Jack had a surprised look on his face, like he knew who fLocke really was or something.
I think fLocke threw Desmond down in the well because he can’t kill him, this way he’s no longer a problem. I guess next week we’ll see fLocke send Sayid to kill Desmond.
Poor Sun, she finally makes it to fLocke’s camp and Jin ends up kidnapped and is now in Widmore’s camp.
I think the boy is a different boy, not an older or younger version of the blonde kid, I think he represents someone else. Maybe the blonde boy represents Jacob and this boy represents MIB?

I called last week that desmond was the one widmore was protecting.
I called this week that illana was going to go boom.
I’m calling it now… in the series finale, we are going to get a man-in-black flashback.
I don’t think we will, but I would love to have a Mrs. Hawking episode. She’s the only one in the alt-reality that seems to know exactly whats going on. I think desmond knows something about it, hell maybe locke throwing him in the well gave him some kind of consciousness in the alt.

Of the final 5 episodes only one of them have a listed centric character at this time.
In the preview for next week’s episode it showed Desmond looking up from the well and Sayid pointing a gun at him.
Didn’t watch it but that makes sense.

If he wanted Sayid to kill him it would have been done so already. He clearly wanted him exposed to the EM pocket.

I mentioned it a few episodes ago that I thought it was apparent that fLocke is Christian. He had connections with Jack, Claire, Sawyer, Kate.
Locke told Sayid to leave before he found out that Desmond was not afraid of him and that he survived an EM blast. They also showed Sayid shooting down in the well next week.
It still think Sawyer, Jack and Kate are the main characters, so something has to happen to them. There’s really been nothing about them the last few episodes. My prediction, based off of nothing, is that Kate will die somehow.
Not sure what to make of Desmond hitting Locke. Desmond says he knows who fLocke is, that he’s John Locke. So does him hitting Locke in the flash forward mean that it was a mistake, because he thought fLocke was Locke? Or does it mean fLocke made it off the island, as Locke, and Desmond was trying to kill a “bad” guy?

I think hitting him was Desmond’s way of getting Sideways Locke to remember his Island life.
I do think that we will have some major deaths. Kate, Sawyer and Sayid are at the top of that list IMO.

What’s up with this link? I thought there were only three episodes left after last night. This link shows five more episodes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_(season_6)
I don’t know if I’d get caught up in the shooting into the well thing. The well was immensely deep and they made it look like Desmond was 10 ft down and Sayid was putting one in his head. Maybe he fires some random shots down the well, but I wouldn’t take the preview verbatim, but pieced together.
I agree. I think Jack knows who fLocke is. Refresh my memory, when did Christian interact with Kate and Sawyer?
I believe he ran a scam with Kate in Australia. Or she was a coworker. Actually, I may be getting her confused with Ana Lucia. Can’t remember the details. He had a drink with Sawyer in a bar in Australia. Trying to remember if he crossed paths with anybody else.

I need to watch the previews.
The wiki article is correct, there are six hours left in LOST including the two hour finale. The finale is on a Sunday.
Since I guess it is now confirmed that next week’s episode is Jack centric there will be plenty of hospital in the ALT. And since everyone appears to have seen the wiki page, how great is episode 15 going to be? We should get a lot of history of the island beginning in year ?.
From reading the past couple of posts, a couple things come to mind.
Didn’t Christian come back to the island via a coffin much like fLocke did? I remember thinking then that Locke would come back as something just like Christian did. Christian was also walking around the island and he had appearances with Claire right?
And $10 says Locke starts to walk after being hit by the car.
I may have overlooked it in this thread but is anyone giving consideration to Frank’s character being of importance? He’s been alongside the main characters for most of the series. He’s in the “Last Supper” photo and still has an active role on the show.
Are the writers just keeping him around/alive because he’ll eventually need to fly a plane off the island or is there more to his story? It would be kind of odd to just let him linger around without a bigger purpose than piloting a plane at some point.
So this might not mean a damn thing - but I found it interesting that each character in sideways world that became aware of their island world on their own are dead. Charlie, Libby and Daniel each realized it on their own. Hurley didn’t see it until prodded and neither did Desmond.
We first saw him when he was a little blonde haired boy. He wasn’t totally ‘real’ yet and not everyone could see him. Then we saw him as a darker haired teenager and more characters could see him, as he’s becoming more and more real. He seems to spook the hell out of the Man in Black, too. As the smoke monster, he was able to see visions of peoples’ past - such as with Mr. Eko.
When we see the mysterious boy again, I think he might be a young man going prematurely bald. With a striking resemblance to Terry O’Quinn. With no scar over his left eye. If the Man in Black doesn’t get off the island quick, he might have to deal with a ‘Superman 3’ type showdown.
‘Who lies in the shadow of the statue?’
‘He who will come to save us all’
