For the record:
Beasley’s debut in Rivals.com 2007 ranking - 3rd in the country

Only 2 of the top 30 guys have committed. Beasley, of course being one of them.

To add…Nolan Smith is # 18. A recruiting class of Beasley, Harmon, Smith, Jeremy Thompson, and Dorenzo Hudson(Forest Hills) would be insane.

you also have to add jerell lewis, leemire, mitch mullis
And Carlos Williams
Monday Feb. 6th Niner Nation should be in full force, like cincy is coming full force.
No kidding. 1 to show Beasley some love and 2 to get Smith on board.
THREE opportunities to embrace them into the family…November 18 at Central Cabarrus and January 24 at Providence Day…as well as their soon to be home…Halton.
(Giddy Anticipation!!!)
From Gregg Doyel…
Michael Beasley, Charlotte: Beasley is considered the No. 2 player in the Class of 2007, behind O.J. Mayo, and his academic transcript must make for fascinating reading. The 6-9 Beasley has spent time at IMG Academy in Florida, Riverdale Baptist in Maryland and Oak Hill Academy in Virginia. Along the way Beasley spent time being home-schooled -- while playing for Riverdale -- and was reclassified from the Class of 2008 to the Class of 2007. If he sticks to his commitment to Charlotte, this future NBA wing likely won't be there for more than one season.Sportsline.com: Ten for Tuesday: The road isn't always easy for some
I hate Gregg Doyel…even in that little quote he sounds like a cocky jerk.

For as maligned as Rodney is, his team DID win a tournament game unlike Curtis and Eddie and Mitch thusfar.
Keep that in mind.
Carmelo Anthony is a one-and-done that had a pretty good run, if I recall correctly.
They’re not such a bad thing necessarily.
From the Syracuse Post-Standard:
Wednesday, October 05, 2005Mike Beasley update
Remember a few weeks ago when I said that Mike Beasley’s commitment to Charlotte would definitely stick? Well …I’m not getting anything concrete, but I am hearing from more than one or two assistant coaches at East Coast schools that Beasley, a highly-rated 6-8 junior from Upper Marlboro, Md., could rescind his verbal commitment to Charlotte.
Here’s one assistant’s theory:
Beasley gave a commitment to Charlotte thinking he would never really go to college. But a commitment from Beasley (even if he never played a game for the 49ers) would still give a boost to Charlotte and, in particular, Charlotte assistant Dalonte Hill who coached Beasley’s AAU team the D.C. Assault. (Syracuse fans may recognize the D.C. Assault as former SU assistant Troy Weaver’s old team.)So, what happens? The NBA changes its early entry requirements. Beasley now has to go to college and he’s not going to Charlotte or the A-10. At least that’s the theory.
And if Beasley does come off his commitment, Syracuse would be among many schools anxious to get him. He’s the No. 2 rated player in the Class of 2007, according to HoopScooponline.com. Beasley is supposed to attend Oak Hill Academy this year. (Recent Syracuse recruits to attend Oak Hill include Carmelo Anthony, Billy Edelin, Dayshawn Wright and Eric Devendorf).
Hmmmm…

That is someone’s theory, but it’s not good news either way
And what about all the players he has bought along with him, Harmon, Tatum and others.
Just doesnt seem right that he would back out of his commitment now does it ?
Time to bring the man back up to the TOP. Beasley has had an excellent season thus far.
Rivals has a bunch of stories up recent Oak Hill games. UNC’s star recruit Tywon Lawson has been suspended and Nolan Smith and Beasley have taken over. From Oak Hill’s one point win over another national power, Canton McKinley, this weekend.
With less than 20 seconds to play, Beasley, a Charlotte commit, scored over Raymar Morgan and forced Morgan to turn the ball over with 3.9 to play and was fouled and sent to the foul stripe. Beasley sunk the first one which proved to be the winner.
I was at the Oak Hill-Central Cabarrus game.Beasley is one of the most talented high school players I have ever witnessed, and he’s only a junior.I’ve followed the 49ers since the Bill Foster era.Believe me…they have never had a more talented kid coming out of high school than Beasley.Very few schools have ever had a more talented player than this kid.I’ll take him even if it’s only for one year. He’s well worth the price of admission. When Beasley and the Warriors make that trip to Halton, the place should be rocking.
Beasley once beat Jesus Shuttlesworth in one on one, then did the same to Bill Brasky… :shades:
