Yeah and thatās the exact same justification for why my hopes and expectations are NIT bids. It shouldnāt be that hard, itās totally doable, and Iād be happy with the season. Weāre too far removed from the years the team would consistently make it to the NCAAT

Toledo coach should be a last resort if everyone else falls through
If we go with the Toledo coach, it will be a Mike Hill kind of hire all over again. I expect more out of Kevin White
If White fired Fearne without a pretty solid plan place, he is off to a bad start and better hope for some good luck.
My friends that follow sports are asking why we fired Fearne?? He is a pretty good coach and due to the contractual situation I believe we should have given him another year.
I hope I am wrong and White pulls one out of the hat, but I am openly skeptical at this point.

The longer we wait, the more nervous I become about not getting one of the big time coaches mentioned
Fearne may be a pretty good coach in some other situation/level but within the AAC he is at best average

Iām anxious to hear something soon too, but itās only been 3 days since Fearne was let go. I would give it a few more days before we start getting concerned.

This. Between Keatts and Miller, Iām not sure one option is more obvious than the other. Keatts wasnāt just fired for losing to Duke and UNC too much, he was below .500 in conference.
There is a former interim UVA HC that might be interested.

Saint Louis just extended Josh Shertz, so probably not likely. But would leaving Saint Louis to go to Charlotte be considered a āstep upā? The Billikens put on a clinic last night. Looked very well coached.
