Trea Turner is the best college baseball player in America, and it’s not close
John Hamilton was impressive in his 1st start after being the closer last season. He went 7 2/3 and gave up 1 ER, 4 hits, and had 5 Ks.
After he reached his pitch count, and we went to the pen, NC State tacked on 3 runs.
Our offense just couldn’t string any hits together. Whenever we had runners in scoring position it was with 2 outs and could never manufacture one.
Overall it was a good early test for our team, and helps our SOS. High Point will be another good test, as newcomer Jason Harris will be on the mound today.
Today’s game starts in 5 minutes.

Nice win today against a usually strong High Point team. Out bats came alive late with the help of some errors. Basen had a great day going 4 for 5. Hunter May pitched another strong game in relief giving up no runs and only one hit in 3.2 innings. I’m really excited about this guy.

Marshall has been one of the bottom feeders of C-USA the past few years. Hopefully we can take care of business today. I am dissapointed that we got snowed out the 1st weekend, but adding games against NC State and Marshall will help us more than blasting Delaware St.
Brock Hudgens makes his 1st start of the season today. He didn’t look great in relief so far this year.
