NNN Top 25 Men's Basketball Poll

UCLA or Tarholes was tough.

I ended up putting carolina over ucla because I see davidson as the only strong team either have really played thus far.

Keep in mind, I made my picks before they handled Illinois. At the time, they seemed like a 20 t0 25 type team.

If they keep this up, I will have them a good bit higher next week.

Yea that’s why I backed off… its understandable. They always open with crap oppenents (NC Central, etc.) so you can never tell.

If they keep this up, I will have them a good bit higher next week.

get out the white out.

Happy Thanksgiving Chi.

JSYK, this week’s poll has been delayed. Hopefully will be up tonight or early tomorrow.

I can’t wait… Yawn.

Come on, you are killing me. Where is the updated poll???

I can't tell if you are being serious or sarcastic anymore. I thought the last post was meant to be an insult?

Well, after a busy mother truckin week, my programming wiz friend bailed me out and helped me get the program together. Finally, almost fully automated. First time tabulating the votes by hand took an hour and a half. This time it only took 15 minutes of cleaning up the ballots.

Anyways, with no further adieu, Week 2 of the NNN Men’s Basketball Top 25.

NinerNation.Net Men's Basketball Top 25 - Week 3
  1. Texas …191
  2. UCLA (1) …186

Um so you know that Texas just beat UCLA right…at Pauley? How does UCLA get a number one vote, oh and how does Texas not?

Duke and UNC-CH gets too little love on this board, I mean you don’t have to like them to say they are a good team. Duke won Maui, UNC-CH won their tournament as well, and both have survived the almighty Davidson ()

I don't know about that. I agree that Duke should be ahead of UCLA, but I think that's the only thing wrong. UNC was only 2 votes shy of out right #1 and got 4 #1 votes. Memphis is still undefeated too and hasn't won a game by less than 10pts.

Like the fact that memphis is leaving no room for doubt this year by actually playing quality teams. USC will be a good test as well as the Georgetown-Arizona stretch. If they really are that good we will see.

Like Tennessee-Martin, Richmond, Arkansas State, Austin Peay, Middle Tennessee, Cincinnati, Siena, and Pepperdine. And, of course, the annual tilt with cross-town “rival” Christian Brothers (though Cal did do that one as an exhibition this time)!

(BTW, I have chosen UofM #1 every week.)

I know real pollsters probably never do this but I thought I’d pose a question to those that vote… Do you ever/or would you ever take into account dropping a team lower based solely on being unimpressive? To clarify, if a top 10 team is barely knocking off sub-200 teams, they may not lose but they make you lose your lunch. Nobody has done this yet to make me think to drop them, although I have not been impressed with Tennessee, but not to that extent.

Um so you know that Texas just beat UCLA right...at Pauley? How does UCLA get a number one vote, oh and how does Texas not?

Yea, I’ve got to agree with that.
