Plan B???

I didn’t pledge, as I said just a few minutes ago. I didn’t want to inflate the numbers because I had no idea what kind of financial situation I’d be in. I know more than one person that pledged and didn’t buy because they didn’t like the fact that their seat was not guaranteed to be in the same place each year.

Its $49 dollars a year to keep the same seats under 4 FSLs. That’s a BULL S*** reason to backout. If you’re buying more than that then you have enough adults involved to split the payments into 2 groups and still only have to pay $98 dollars a year.

WTF people?

USE THE GREY MATTER BETWEEN YOUR EARS!

To some people, its not about the amount, its the principal. They feel as though they are buying a specific seat, just as one does at a professional sports venue. They do not realize that college is different because most people in Charlotte do not own season tickets to a college sports team.

Almost all college football programs require annual donations to maintain seating on top of season tickets. The U is just doing what all their friends are doing.

So you are willing to watch this effort fail and not buy even 2? I am pretty sure my family will expand between now and 2013, but I put my 2 in and I will deal with the details later.

I didn’t pledge but if this fails because X doesn’t buy two, I will buy his two.

I like the attitude!

But I’d rather you buy your own two or even one now and we’ll let X worry about his two.

Lame a$$ excuse right there! They didn’t really want one to start with.

I like the idea of just getting started so this is good news. They could have put it on hold 3 months ago. I talked to David Dunn back in Feb at a basketball game and he was against playing anywhere except on campus from the get-go. He was thinking about the students. He said Belk complex expansion was the way to do it if a stadium couldn’t be built in time. And he shared the sentiment of just get it started.

I like the credit card payment plan proposed by someone here. THere’s your monthly plan right there.

Yes, but then you are paying interest to a credit card company.

What’s the interest in $250/yr? Not much.

Again, people aren’t fretting $250, it is the people who want to buy multiples. $1000 is a decent balance to carry.

Do like I recommended before. Put down $250 every half-year for two seats or $250 a quarter for 4. If anyone can’t put down $83.33 a month for 4 FSL’s they were full of S*** to begin with.

I’m buying mine individually, so I am with you on that. It just sucks to have to buy them one at a time.

Do what you can when you can!!!

Throw me in that boat also. I was excited about football before the details on the FSL's and stuff came out. I have 4 season tickets for basketball, and will need at least 6 for football. $6000 was steep, but the required $1500 PER YEAR for those with 5+ FSL's did me in. I can swing 6000 over the next 4 years, somehow, but I can't guarantee $1500 per year with an 8 month old and likely more to come before we take the field. If that wasn't enough, we're not even going to get good seats if we managed to come up with the money. Does my 49er Club membership for 12 years plus my rank count for anything?

And I know people have told me, ā€œX, buy 1, or buy 2 FSL’s if that’s all you can affordā€ just to get one/some. Well that’s all well and good until I have to leave somebody at home on gameday, and it’s stupid to buy 1-2 FSL’s when you know you’re going to need more tickets than that. I know my circumstances are in the minority, but it’s almost like this was not considered when the FSL plan was made.

All you had to do is call Dubois or Hummer. They make exceptions for immediate family members on the over 4 plan. They waive the 1500 per year. I got mine in writing, locked in the safe just in case Hummer and Dubois isn;t there in 5 years.

I’ve heard some pretty lame excuses today, but this takes the cake. Do you want to have a football team or not?? Some folks need to put this petty BS aside and follow up with their comittment.

I’M NOT THE ONE SAYING THIS. I couldn’t care less about them moving seats for people that don’t donate. The fact is, a lot of people do. People that would like to see us get a program, but ultimately don’t care THAT much. I haven’t bought a seat because I’m poor, not because of the seating arrangements.

Yes, but then you are paying interest to a credit card company.

OMG-----boy, we have some ā€œdedicatedā€ fans right here…

You’re right, what was I thinking! Let me just go ahead and buy three more right now, regardless of how much extra money I’d be throwing away!

Like I said, this is a lame excuse and these people you speak of should never have pledged. You should tell them this.
