People should also move on from posting this same statement constantly. It is NORMAL for current coaches to be compared to the previous coach for atleast a few years until he establishes his own identity.
Comparing coaches is one thing. Longing for the return of Bobby Lutz while remaining bitter over the coaching change is another.

I hope you’re not talking to me here------because despite what some here have labeled me, you won’t find one “bitter” post of mine, atleast not toward Major. I hope Major turns it around big time, I have too much money and years invested in this program to give it up.
You guys realize that someone can not like Bobby (the coach) and Major? I’m sure some of them are out there.
Everyone brings in that Bobby is an alum. That’s great, but means shit when someone is your coach and aren’t getting the job done… This doesn’t mean come at me with “is major getting it done?” crap. No he hasn’t yet. Recruiting has substantially and now he needs to turn the tide on the court.
Yes, I was ready to be done with Bobby in 2002.
Really? You sure? 2002, we had been to 5 of the last 6 NCAA tourneys (only missing in 2000) and had 1st round wins in 3 of them. If you were “done with Bobby” then, that makes 1 of you.

2002 was Bobby’s 4th year. He had taken us to the tourney 3 of those 4 and had first round wins in 2 of those 3. We made the NIT in 2000.
If you wanted rid of him then yes you were in the minority but I dont think bringing Melvin’s two years into the argument is relevant.

I am just ready to be done with the Lutz talk. He gets brought up when he shouldn’t. We stopped being good. We ended up being bad We let him go. He is an alum who did a ton for the school. Just let it go from both sides. If Major succeeds or fails from this point is 100% on him and has nothing to do with Bobby. Bobby helped pay for the locker room that is used by our players currently and he had a hand in plenty of the banners hanging in Halton. No reason to drag him through the dirt. What is done is done and we are going on yr 3 since it happened.

Thats all I’ve ever expected people to do. Show the guy a little respect. I mean, he’s only the winningest coach in school history.

You do realize Bobby was on staff since 95, right?..I’ll let it go at that.
