I’m sure there are plumbers that make twice as much as me, but it’s still at crappy job.
Lebo made 566k and 610k the two years he was here. We also gave him an 8 year contract after Penn State came after him. That’s a lot better than you are paying and I’m not sure about you guys but I’d take 150k more a year and 4 more years guaranteed on the contract to coach in the same league for those comparing jobs. Not to mention the other investments we are making in the program in new facilities right now and tools he will have to work with.
I got $$$ off your board that says otherwise. I’m sure you’d tell Xavier and Tennesse fans that as well when they went on to have better seasons and send teams to the NCAA’s after you beat them. We used to own DWade, maybe I should send him a text that it didn’t matter he was in the top 10 both years or went to the Final 4 after we beat him.
Other investments you’re making? A practice facility? That’s great, way to finally catch up to several mid-major programs. We’ve had a practice facility for a decade or more. You act like a practice facility puts you ahead of most schools when in fact you’re finally just catching up.
Briscoe didn’t start vs ECU last year scored 19pts in 11min in the second half :o shot 62% fg and 1000% 3pt and beat your guards like a drum. Bowden, Paul, were helpless in trying to stop him. What the hell is a D1 sized player. If you can only defend one size GUARD then your not a good defender. Hell the best guards in the A-10 are all 6ft and under.
Do yourself a favor. Compare your program to those you beat … trying to comparing your program to one/Charlotte that beats your azz 75% of the time renders you foolish.
Our backcourt midgets have owned your BIG SLOW backcourt for two years.
We all know you can judge everything off one game and that one game makes a season. I should tell DWade that twice.
Didn’t Bowden have 17 points in 13 minutes vs Louisville? It’s funny how you guys discarded that and your coach that coached that game. The difference is both are still having personal success at other places. Maybe Briscoe will in D2

Dude, I respect you for standing up for your school but no way you can tell anyone with a straight face that the ECU job is on par with the Charlotte job.
We have SUCKED the last five years and still are pissed when we lose to ECU. Hell, I hope we both start making the NCAA regularly but it would be back to the norm for us and a cause for celebration in Greenville.

Boy I butchered that post. sorry
Obviously Charlotte is the more desireable job because Major is willing to work here for less.
ECU just pays Lebo so much because that’s what it costs to get someone to stay in a hell hole.

Im not talking about 1 game. I’m talking about 3 games over a 2 year period. ECU is the only team consistently WORST than us. We count you as a win as soon as we see you on the schedule.
Deuce Briscoe, Bobby Lutz already have have more personal success on the D1 level than anybody, coach or player on your team. Your starting backcourt had never started anywhere on a D1 level until they got to such a horrible program like ECU.
Briscoe 1100+ D1pts
Bowden 200 maybe
Paul 500 maybe
There’s only one program in the country that will give a coach an 8 year extension after 2 losing seasons. Hell, throw in his time at Auburn, that’s 8 straight seasons of .500. :)) :)) That should tell you all you need to know about ECU basketball. :)) :))
Hey, I agree with sokool on something too! Briscoe was/is a much better player than Bowden. I said at the beginning of the season that Bowden playing a lot of minutes for ECU would be a bad sign, and I was right.
I second the question: any word on where Briscoe is headed?
If I knew I overpaid for Lebo I’d want to opt out of life.
Interesting spin you put on a coach who’s a career failure.
Charlotte must also be the better place for players since Shamarr Bowden himself would’ve preferred to come here before being told, “no.”
This shouldn’t even be an issue. StillJonesing is just over here to cause a stir. Shamarr isn’t even good enough to play at ECU. That transfer from Rhode Island is going to start.

You went 2-2 vs Marquette while he was there and were outscored by a total of 35 points in those 4 games and you owned him? Damn, if thats the standard for ownership, I’m not sure what you’d consider our record vs yours in CUSA time. What’s 50 X greater than ownership?

Just for shiggles:
Dwade Vs. ECU: 21, 25, 24, 19 (pts) =avg 22.25 ppg
Dwade Vs. CLT: 12, 14, 20, 21 (pts) = avg 16.75 ppg
I don’t think either one of us can claim we “owned” D-wade, but obviously CLT has more of a right to it that ECU.
I think this ECU fan is a gimmick poster, pretending to be a dunbass and an ECU fan. Was that a redundant analogy?
I still think its funny that he left Charlotte to “pursue his NBA career”, and yet he has found his way back to the bench on an inferior ECU squad. Its just sad really.

We beat your last NCAA team. I guess by UNCC logic that means we were better team and had the better season.
As far as Bowden to put some closure on this, he sounds like a good guy. These quotes are pretty telling of what Lebo thinks of him. He’s been nothing but a good team player for us.

“I was shocked more than anything,” Lebo said. “Of all the guys that I’ve coached, and I’ve coached a lot of guys, (Bowden’s) the last guy that I would think would be involved in something like what he was charged with (but) when I talked with Shamarr about it, he completely put me at ease.”

“Everybody makes mistakes,” Lebo said, “but I would have bet the ranch they were wrong (in Bowden’s case). I’m just happy to put it behind us and move forward."

It is coach speak - he isn’t going to throw a player he is bringing back under the bus. Not rocket science, but considering simple logic escapes you I guess that shouldn’t surprise me.
Bowden is a douche, an idiot and a liability on the court. Have fun with him. As we have all mentioned if he couldn’t get on the court under Bobby here it is just further proof what an idiot Lebo is.
Proofs in the pudding. He wouldn’t have stood behind him like he did had he not been a #1 a good kid he thought really was innocent, #2 a valuable member of the team. If he had been nearly the scrub or team cancer you think he would have had every opportunity to get rid of him when this came up, he didn’t. You also aren’t a liability when you are the 2nd best 3 point shooter in CUSA. I don’t see anyone on your team that can hit 60 three’s at 42%.
I am not arguing that Lebo isn’t an idiot.
