While I like a lot of what the Rivian has to offer, the F150 lightning has the potential to be the game changer.
That is, if Ford can actually build them.
New car models are becoming like new computer graphics cards and processor launches… Paper launches / vapor ware.
If Ford announces an all around badass electric truck but no one can buy one, does it actually exist?

I love the Rivian R1S. It looks like the perfect mix of modern tech and old school suv aesthetics. Hopefully they get manufacturing figured out. Right now they are really struggling, producing about one truck per day, and I don’t think they’ve even started with the suv.
Is Tesla still trying to find a stainless steel alloy that doesn’t rust when exposed to salty roads, salty water and salty coastal air? Its not dishwasher safe:) Perhaps they will recommend frequently rubbing it down with fossil fuels:)

This is the type of retro styling that I have long thought could take off once EVs become popular.
Expect more of this kind of stuff IMHO.
