Do not rush this hire. It is critical that we get this one right.
Would it make sense to bring back Lutz in an interim position? This provides multiple benefits to include re-energizing the fan base, provides the opportunity to plug Lutz back into our university and induct him into our Hall of Fame. He could play a significant role in righting the ship.

So youâd love to see us put behind the 8 ball for another year? Bobby either wasnât interested in or unable to recruit to the A10. So basically youâre advocating for Bobby, or any coach, to sit on the bench and make no attempt to bring in a recruiting class for next year?

I strongly believe Lutz would bring great value in a transition plan. He can coach the talent we have to their greatest potential. He can stabilize our progran with his leadersip. He can collaborate with our staff to recruit the next coach. He can help recruit our next wave of talent. Yes, I say bring back Lutz while we explore coaching options. I think Lutz would welcome the challenge and be great at it.

Really dislike the mixed messages of trying to bring back a coach who hasnât been here for over a decade and hasnât coached anywhere in years in a clearly interim role, knowing we are looking for a long term answer. He is 65 folks. I have fond memories of his tenure here and they get rosier every year. I have no desire to bring him back and watch him struggle.
Not to mention he never liked recruiting and it has only gotten harder with the portal and NLI.
Folks we need to move on and find someone who is savvy in the way the sport works now off the court.

Name a single player on our team that would benefit from Lutz style of BB. There are limited / no shooters on this team. I loved Lutz!! His system was way ahead of its time but hs return would look like we are more clueless than we look now losing a HC in June. Rather have Fearne take our lumps and then time the new hire where we can hit the portal hard and early and get this turned around quicker. Wasnât it Huggins who came into WVU but shadow recruited a whole year before his arrival because he could talk to anyone , anytime without NCAA restrictions.

Absolutely no ACC coach should be hired
Lutz would coach them and scheme to maximize their talent. He would bring in some 3 point assassins and let the big guys actually rebound and post up

Exactly what we need.
I canât think of a better hire scenario at the moment.
Young up and comer from a lower league who has a ton of HC experience with a great record and has taken his team to the NCAAs.
And is familiar with recruiting the Carolinaâs.

So now Lutz is taking up scholarships for our next Coach??? Portal is closed. We need a place setter till next hire that we MUST get right.
JT has not shown me he can effectively shoot off screens since being here. He was afraid to shoot last year. Name me one Lutz player that was afraid to shoot. Lol.
Lutzs system is polar opposite of players we have now. Unless Lutz is your hire this is a useless conversation because we have an interim in place to hold down the fort till the next hire and he helped recruit the kids on the roster to help with continuity till we drop the hammer.
