Yep, as Jay from Red Letter Media said years ago:
I thought he was being too cynical then. But boy was he ever right.

Moon Knight comics were great, had several as a kid. Show didnāt do anything for me though, made it through two episodes.
Speaking of Emily Watson. My wife and I just finished watching Apple Tree Yard on Hulu. Great short four episode mystery thriller drama.
Had never heard about this show before and found it with the āyou may also likeā link.
This is more confirmation of a theory I have that there are tons of fantastic shows out there that Iāve never heard of.
By rolling the dice like that we found quality shows like Vally of Tears, Happy Valley, London Spy, FleaBag (watched that long before it was a thing), Hit and Run, Fauda, collateral (the Netflix show), the informer, next of kin, spotless, the Salisbury Poisonings, Our Boys,
We have a to watch list a mile long of similar stuff we had never heard of that we have not gotten to.
I find that the originality of these shows lend to better overall results than the formulaic dreck that Disney seems to be spewing out with marvel and Star Wars shows.
Watching rings of power. Some good production values and we will finish it but we keep looking at each other and saying comments like āwhy did they do that? Or that makes no senseā.
Agreed with the above comments that rushing out product based on valuable IP without the proper writing is horrible.
This is why things like Squid Game can come from nowhere and become a phenomenon. Originality, good writing, plot and performances trump valuable IP quite often.
Has anyone watched any of the Peripheral (new on Amazon) yet?
I have high hopes for this because itās based on a novel from a novelist who I have enjoyed quite a bit over the years, William Gibson (I have read several of his books but not this one).
Was about to watch it last night.
The early reviews are kinda meh.
I almost wish I didnāt see them because it looked interesting. My son wants to watch it so we probably will.
Iāve found a few good reviews. Definitely going to give it a shot.
Question. Has anyone watched season 2 of the flight attendant? Season one was great. But for some reason I have not had time to check out season 2 (oh yeah I know why. Too much other good stuff plus football). I have not hear much about it at all.
I tried on season 2 of Flight attendant.
Didnāt get past episode 1. Fell asleep.
Yeah, we liked season 1, but we havenāt made it back for season 2 either.
I mentioned it earlier, but it got swallowed up by MCU talk at the timeā¦
Bad Sisters was entertaining
HOTD season finale was pretty damn good.
Also, this:
I didnāt finish episode 1
Neither did I Mac.
Also,I have come back to Andor to finish off the season.
It is really uneven. Sometimes it looks like some kind of fan film with paper thin scripting and low budget costumes, props, etc, and then in the same episode it looks and feels like it has the full budget of Rogue One.
The pacing is an uneven as the production.
However, I am strangely really enjoying it. I think it is helped immensely by Stellan Skarsgaard and Genevieve OāReilly, who plays Mon Mothma.
In and out of this thread so sorry if already mentioned.
The Patient . Steve Carell.
