Do we have an abandoned gold mine on campus, as one comment says?
No, not unless its undiscovered.
The Alexander mine was nearby, but not on campus. It wasnât a large producer.
Actually upon further research, it wasnât even really all that close. Basically at the intersection of 77 and 485
So, as I suspected, that commenter was ignorant and/or full of shit.
I wish they wouldnât have included the University of Charlotte and Charlotte University in the do not use list.
If someone uses University of Charlotte I will not correct them.
Nor will I. Iâm going to continue to use U of C until it becomes true.
Well, we ARE always yakking about potential.
I think they felt the need to list all the past names they have used in error. Overall that last line really sums up the article, poorly written without any thought behind it.
By switching over to charlotte.edu and using the athletics logo, everything is in place to make the switch to U of C. It is coming soon and it will be a seamless transition now.
Donât do what I just did and read that article and then the commentsâŚ.article is fine but man the comments remind me how stupid people can be.
The title of the article is extremely misleading in that one would tend to think that the University had changed its official name. I think that the comments below the article are based on this misinterpretation.
Seems like Gaber is more into have some brand on campus. Its refreshing to say the least.
Hence why some felt an official name change is the only thing that will make a difference.
clt hopes we just use the c logo with charlotte on campus signage. will save time and money when we become uofc
I honestly think our University is more hated than loved in the Greater Charlotte region. I canât explain why, but these comments are just another example of âSTFU and know your roleâ.
