METRIC-11/27-NEIGHBORHOOD THEATRE
Damnit, I don’t like Metric, but I absolutely love Emily Haines. No way she plays any of her solo stuff, but I might go just to see her anyway.

Wow, didn’t know Metric was going to be at neighborhood, I am buying my ticket day off. I loved Grow Up and Blow Away.

Brand New - 11/9 Fillmore with Thrice

BRAND NEW will perform a special acoustic set at MANIFEST DISC in Charlotte on Nov. 9 @ 4pm. Fans must purchase the new album, Daisy, at MANIFEST to receive a pass that will guarantee them access to the acoustic set.

If only that were the original misfits line-up.

Oh well, they are still fun live.

NEW SHOWS:

DEER TICK-OCT.18-VISULITE THEATRE
KARL DENSON’S TINY UNIVERSE-NOV. 4-NEIGHBORHOOD THEATRE

I will say that I am no longer even going to consider seeing Mastadon, base ticket price, 31 bucks, eh, thats not too bad. After live nation’s fees, 48 bucks. LOL.

Live Nation fees are outrageous

I don’t know how close you live to Charlotte, but if you buy your ticket at the VWA box office(M-Th 10-5, F 10-4) it’s only an $8 fee added on, and if you buy your ticket at the Fillmore box office (open only on showdays at noon) then it’s a $6 added fee. Also keep an eye out on Livenation.com for the Wed. All-In No Service Fee promotions($10, $20, $30 tix with no service fees) to see if that show qualifies.

Interesting NEW SHOW for all those reggae-ska fans out there…:

4TH ANNUAL SKALLOWEEN featuring BUMS LIE PERFORMING GREEN DAY “DOOKIE” ALL REGGAE-SKA

VISULITE THEATRE-OCT. 31

This is a good thread. I’ve got no idea who you are HaltonHellraiser, but keep up the good work.

There is good music being played in this town, and people need to know about it.

Don’t know you either lol. I’m Adam Musicguru Russell on Facebook. Just Adam in real life. And no prob, I enjoy it.

One more NEW SHOW before I say goodbye for the weekend:

THE MEAT PUPPETS-TUES, DEC. 1-VISULITE THEATRE

Have a good weekend NN.N.

FORTY!!!

Cool. I’d like to see them live.

Just got back from Chevelle. Awesome. Excited peaceful good crowd, great venue, happy good band. Just a great time.
drop-D and Halestorm also brought it.
Am I too old to follow a band around?

Nope. As long as 311 is touring, I’ll be following them as much as money allows.

Anybody going to State Radio on Oct 1? I’m trying to go but not by my lonesome.

I’ll be there with a crew of 4. Go lew, theyre giving away the new album for free at the show.:shades:

This isn’t a new concert post, but I still think many of you will appreciate it. Some of you probably use this anyway, but every week AOL and Spinner debut new albums, by some of the best talent out there, sometimes as many as two weeks before official release. This week’s lineup is stellar:

AOL: http://music.aol.com/new-releases-full-cds

PARAMORE’s "Brand New Eyes"
ALICE IN CHAINS’ “Black Gives Way to Blue”
“THE ROD STEWART SESSIONS” 1971 - 1998 (most of this is from when he was good)
LANDON PIGG’s "The Boy Who Never"
GENESIS ‘Live 1973-2007’
(ALSO: New Hatebreed, Skynyrd, Fat Joe and more)

SPINNER: http://www.spinner.com/new-releases

AVETT BROTHERS’ "I and Love and You"
THE REVEONETTES "In & Out of Control"
BASEMENT JAXX’s "Scars"
LANGHORNE SLIM’s "Be Set Free"
ALBERTA CROSS’s "Broken Side of Time"
STATE RADIO’s "Let it Go"
WILL HOGE’s "The Wreckage

Do you think this will be any good?
