Battle between me and Miss skinny Jtiger.Damn that **** brings back some fond memories.
Hey, X, I went here, so I can’t be a Wal-Marter.
And all of y’all are some self-righteous SOB’s.
He who is without sin cast the 1st stone.
And I stand by what I’ve said for years. NONE of y’all that are Panther fans like me have EVER said you think we should give back the SB appearance when our guys were on the juice.
So why isn’t anything going to happen to Rose. He just gets to play in the NBA and make millions scot free?
hi ya’ll

I have no connection to the Panthers except as a fan.If they cheat,it is no reflection on me.As a grad and financial supporter of the 49er,if they cheat,it is a reflection on me.Make no mistake,I love it when we win.I love it more when we beat low life cheating SOB’s. in spite of the fact that we run a clean program(so far as I know) If you want us to stoop to their level to win,so be it.I just can’t agree
skinny ? not skinny… but not fat, trailer ? well, my “trailer” is on the #1 at Plantation Golf Course here in Olive Branch. Yeah, after my initial melt-down after he left I was majorly pizzed. I talked with alot of folks that had inside info and found out alot about Cal that I didn’t know. I will admit I was very very wrong about the man. He had my respect for 9 long years. But, now that I know what I know, he sure doesn’t. My head was in the sand. I heard a few things in the last 5 years he was here but didn’t believe a word of it. Well, turns out it was all true, and some. Anyway, we move on with our new, young, energetic rookie coach and hope for the best.
How are ya’ll doing here ? Do you like your conference ? Will you have a good team this year ?
I know one thing, the NCAA can strip us of anything and everything but they sure can’t take away my memories of a week in San Antonio at the Final 4. Guys, it was incredible. Nothing like it on this planet and a wish come true for me personally. Anyway, just wanted to say hi.
well, my "trailer" is on...the Golf Course................. My head was in the sand. Those sand traps are not there for you to pretend you're an ostrich.
hi ya’ll
This could get interesting…

Condoning, well more like endorsing, cheating says a lot about your character. I’m just sad that you are a Niner alum if that’s the way you really feel. I don’t care at what level it occurs, it’s wrong.
Not only do they need to take away Memphis’ recognition of appearing in the tournament, they also need to make them re-pay the monies they were given for the appearance, and they need to give them a postseason ban the year after all current players have graduated. That way it will not penalize the players left behind for the upcoming 3 seasons, and the players coming in will have the option of not attending since they know the post season ban will be in effect. ANY coach that was at the helm at the time the infractions took place would be sanctioned equally by the NCAA to prevent him from coaching elsewhere. Taking away their banners is deserved, but it’s only slap on the wrist.

I wasn’t on the board during those years. It looks like I missed all the fun.
Interesting note:
I played golf yesterday with a guy named Johnny Davis who is an asst coach with the Memphis Grizzlies. He actually coached under Cal with the NJ Nets and considers him a close friend. I didn’t find this out until me and another buddy was saying what a crook he was.
Funny thing, after he told me how tight they were and what a loyal friend Cal was, I told him, well I’m sure the guy has his good points, but I hope UK knows what they are getting.
He just chuckled and said well Cal is the only coach n NCAA history to have two FF’s vacated.

Wonder if people in Kentucky want him to do whats worked for him in the past or try something new?
We were warned by the UMASS folks, we have warned the ky folks…and the cycle just keeps on going. Schools and fans get punished and the coach just keeps getting rewarded and making more money than he’ll ever be able to spend in a lifetime. Something is very wrong with this picture.

Too bad you did not listen to the UMass folks. Just like the woman who dates the rich, abusive husband, everything was hunky-dory while he was taking you out on the town, buying you expensive gifts, and taking you to uncharted places. You didn’t even mind the occasional backslap, because he loved you. Then he really started beating you up, and then hen ran off with his mistress that he had been “talking to” for quite a while. Now your telling the mistress how bad a person he really is and warning them of what could happen when you did not heed the warnings yourself. Oh, the irony. Maybe you guys can put together a 20/20 special with Barbara Walters.
no…ya just move on and hopefully learn a lesson or two or three.
I mean, I’m pretty sure almost every Memphis fan knew deep down Cal was scummy. It wasn’t exactly a secret in the college bball world.
Denial can be pretty powerful though. Especially if you’re winning. Just watch how much Kentucky fans will love him. Until he gets them in trouble and bolts, of course.
Only speaking for my dumbass self, I let him charm me( and let me say he does this very very well) …I took it hook line and sinker…till the very end. Yes, seems like the more folks taunted us with his sliminess the more convinced I was it was all about jealousy. We defended him all 9 years and now I look back and can just shake my head and wonder what the hell was I thinking? How in the world can someone with at the very least, average intelligence, not have seen what he was really about ? I do know that for the past 3 seasons he was becoming increasingly full of himself with the little things he would say and do, but I just chalked that up to his uncontrolable ego running amok. Plus his success played apart in that too. What I didn’t know was his personal life morals sucked and the strange connection with “Uncle Wes” and how that all worked in his recruiting favor. Believe me, Cal was an average (if that) floor coach and a very average recruiter until he had Uncle Wes take over the one and done recruiting for him. I saw things with my own eyes the past 2 years on the road with the tigers that I questioned but assumed it was legal and ok. Well, it wasn’t. I’ve learned alot about trust and hero worship and respecting someone you thought you knew so I guess all is not lost. It’s going to be very interesting to see what happens at ky in the next 3-5 years. They will eventually learn it’s all about him and no one else in time. I really feel for his family. They loved Memphis and none of them wanted to move. I feel certain that instead of Cal moving to his “dream job” that it was more getting the hell out of Memphis before the NCAA shoe dropped. Life goes on…
The problem you have now missJ is that we told you years ago what you were in store for (I know I personally did it) and you dismissed us all with the typical mempiss entitlement attitude.
I do have a very good personal friend who is an ardent Tiger supporter so I can’t take complete satisfaction in saying this, but I’ll try to enjoy it anyway:
WE TOLD YOU SO.
Sincerely,
The “5BC” fans

This.
Stick your mea culpa where the sun doesn’t shine lady. You and your snot nosed mempiss fans deserve every ounce of pain coming your way. Your sense of entitlement went so far as to even attack Niner fans who would venture on your board to congratulate your team. I remember one such instance where you personally got snotty with a Niner fan because he came on your board to wish you good luck in the tourney.
Reap the whirlwind of pain and disappointment you so richly deserve.
