Reminds me of the one Ashley
Chastain posted to Niner Nationā¦
Iām not sure if I posted this for the sentiment, or because of this kidās name.
Parker gives a good
speech.
āYou put your best 11 [players] out there,ā Albin said, āthen you build your scheme around your talent. This past season we had a guy that was dual threat. Two seasons ago, again we won 10 games and designed the offense around the arm strength of a player. So, you have to change it up a little and design it around your players both offensively and defensively, designing your scheme around your talent.ā
Wait, you mean you can adjust your coaching to fit your talent, and not just stick to one rigid approach?
Like the Patriots vs the Red Coats. Would make for a pretty cool advertising campaign if they wanted to run with that.
???
Iām thinking Coach follows his Athensā neighbor Joe Burrowsā football exploits. Looks like Bengals are going to beat the Cowboys following tie breaking catch and run TD pass to JaāMarr Chase on MNF.
EDIT - Cincy wins 27-20.
adjust your coaching to fit your talent
Colonial rebels fought unconventionally. They didnāt stand in a linear formation as did the European armies of the time. The rebels played to their strengths as needed to secure victory.
not just stick to one rigid approach
The Red Coats, the soldiers of Britain, fought in rigid formations. Their generals held to the norms of European warfare. They found it uncouth to break from using rows of soldiers.
The British armyās lack of flexibility was its downfall. It was unthinkable that a ragtag group of āuncivilizedā colonists could defeat the mightiest army in the world, but the American Patriots of the Revolution did just that. Their performance had a lasting impact on warfare for centuries.
Charlotte is āthe Hornetās Nestā thanks to its stand in the American Revolutionary War. The leading British General himself, Cornwallis, gave us this nickname. Our city is greatly tied to the Revolution. āFirst In Freedomā comes from the residents of Olde Mecklenburg in 1775.
Charlotteās new leader knows how to adapt to his strengths. He has the flexibility to tactfully use the talent he has. He is not like other coaches who know only how to fight their chosen way and have fallen for their rigidity.
Think about it. A bunch of dudes in tight pants, fighting over conquest of terrain, IN the Hornetās Nest, the Queen City! Now, you too can come see our greatly heralded new General lead his soldiers on the Gridiron battlefield as they defeat opponents no one thought possible! Join the action at McCollāRichardson Field! Season tickets now on sale, starting at $125! ![]()
Harrisburg!
Studied a good bit of American Revolutionary history while in school and still enjoy reading about the war. And in less than 24 hours, the latest Battle for the Hornets Nest!
Of course, Davidsonās namesake was an unfortunate casualty of the Battle of Cowanās Ford.
Great post! Go check out Cowpens Battlefield near Chesnee, SC. Perfect example! Patriots lured 'em in and then hit 'em from the side!
Totally of topic, but since @49or_bust and @run49er brought it up, Iāll plug this bookā¦
Best book Iāve seen on the roll of Charlotte and the history on the Meck Dec. not a history book person, but loved it.
Donāt tell Ron Sanchez ![]()
Hope some of our players are reading up on Albin and seeing how good of a man and coach he is and put that into the equation of leaving or not. If so, I think we will retain several that may have decided to transfer.
Osborn to OK State??
Edit: guess this was last nightās newsā¦
Mike comes on around the 17 minute mark.
