Welcome Coach Albin!

You corrected his ignorance, right?

That’s been 100% of the comments I’ve encountered while on that Ohio message board. Can’t say I blame them. Definitely light on the facts, but I understand the perception. We have to change that perception, and I think we’ve hired the guy to do that.

Pretty much said it all there

AAC is a big reason we were able to get Coach Albin to come here. We will get respect (followed by hate  ) with wins, stadium expansion, etc. If I was a Ohio fan or alum I would feel the same way they do right now. I am glad I am not!

Compare our schedule next year to Ohio’s and tell
Me that’s not a step up!

It will certainly be more of a challenge.

The Wright Brothers belong to Ohio. But, as so often is the case with Ohioans, they had to move to North Carolina to find success.

All I can ask is no Dabo or Saban quotes please…

Honestly. This is the first time that we don’t need any quotes. The hire speaks for itself.

The reality is that Ohio and North Carolina share the Wright Brothers. The lifelong Dayton residents needed somewhere to test their various aircraft. If they had taken the initial recommendation of either California or Florida, then the argument about who can claim them would be much different. And, of course, there are those who don’t accept the Wright Brothers as the fathers of aviation.

That said, love my “First in Flight” plate!

CBSSports said “this may be the best hire of the carousel season” and gave us an A for the hiring of Tim Albin. That is why Ohio is crapping their pants.

I am ecstatic about this hire. Way to go MH and the others who brought this about.

Go Niners!

This should be a better job, but it’s not yet. Def understand the reaction of the Ohio fans.

We’ve all said it all along. If somebody can ever win here, it would transform this place forever.

I just need to get this joke out of my system: part of the draw for Coach Albin is he doesn’t have to change much of his school-colored apparel.

I like to source quotes like that, so here it is:

Funny how so many in Ohio look down on anything North Carolina or Charlotte. But look how many people from Ohio move here

Nobody is moving to Ohio voluntarily

Glabor thinks the football program has been thriving,

Mike Hill’s sins gets forgotten immediately after hiring his undefeated replacement coach.

Each undefeated replacement coach gets glowing home run best thing since sliced bread welcomes from the board Frat boyz, like we just hired the next Woody Hayes.

Seeing is believing, and if you think Coach Tim will win more games than this season, I believe I have some bad news.

No doubt Coach Tim is a good hire. I would ask Mike to address what went wrong with each of his previous hires and how this will be different. What is Mike Hill going to do differently? How is Mike Hill going to deal increase big time corporate donations? How is Mike Hill going to accomplish what any great football AD would do? And that is accelerate the entire stadium expansion to immediate next construction contract? He will do nothing
