Will Healy New Coach

If it is just rumors he shouldn’t do that.

Depends on if this guy reporting is just full of shit or not. If he is, Healy shouldn’t say a word.

From J Hyams, in Knoxville,

“Will Healy was not offered the Missouri HC role, but rather asked if he wanted to be considered by the Executive recruiting firm.”

That should be settling to everyone, he didn’t even want to be considered. Hyams is reliable.

clt says heals is out recruiting. All is well

I don’t see a P5 school offering him yet, except maybe Tenn because of the closeness of his background in the state of Tenn, until they see some evidence of him being able to put “his” recruits out there and preform. No doubt in my mind he will prove them correct, but I think we at least have 1-2 more years with Coach W H. Remember these are Lambert’s players that are going to a bowl game. Not saying Lambert would have got us there, no one knows, just saying he was the one that sat in those living rooms and convinced those kids to come here. Huge Healy fan but props needs to be paid to Lambert and his staff for getting Benny, Victor, etc…

So, how long was he at austin peay? Not very.

I thought he was there three years, no? That’s not bad for a great coach. If he is here three, I will be fine with that.

I don’t think Healy is going anywhere. For now, these rumors get us more attention, and give Healy credibility on the recruiting trail as a hot commodity coach. Once again he is showing that he is a media genius. You guys are just falling for his juke.

I don’t think these rumors help recruiting. In fact they are usually used against a team by other schools saying don’t go there, their coach is not going to be there very long.

All of this talk among us is generating these rumors instead of outside interest in Healy. Can we just stop it! He has won 58.3% of the games he has coached. Can we give him a chance to create a resume that warrants more worth to Charlotte instead at
another school. Let’s not assume that his loyalty is not real. He says he’s happy here so let’s not question it.

Someone made a good point about Healy. He would have trouble hiring an SEC caliber staff.

Rumors of leaving do not help recruiting period.

Rumors here aren’t feeding the narrative, they are a response to twitter and other boards discussing our coach. It is natural for our fanbase to discuss those rumors.

Really need Coach to come out and say he’s not going anywhere to calm the storm. Unless there is fire where there is smoke.

Agreed. Other coaches are absolutely using this against us in recruiting as signing day fast approaches.

Hey kid…you really gonna sign for 4 years with a coach who is already looking to leave after being there for barely 1 year himself?

It’s out there enough now that it will hurt us until it is addressed publicly. And if he’s staying…he’d want to squash it quickly to prevent it from hurting his recruiting for this class. Yet…silence.

Just like last year with Houston. The amount of time that passed without official comment or announcement spoke loudly that there were issues with the “accepted offer.”

The silence again is deafening…and all too familiar.

The players we’re talking about it yesterday, and I know it had them a little rattles also.

i Think it is worth saying at this point that recruits and their parents, as well as current players read these message boards. Choose your words wisely.

I think it’s also worth saying that the only thing we know for sure is that Healy asked not to be considered for the Mizzou job.

Let’s try to calm the storm here.

How do we know that for sure? Did he make a statement?

Anytime a coach makes some noise people want to have a look and people want to throw shit against the wall to see what sticks. This way they can say I was the first to break the scoop. If Healy addresses this garbage with a statement, he looks like the lonely girl that no one invited to the Prom after the mean kids told her many were wanting her to go. He doesn’t do himself any favors by doing that. He is out recruiting as evidenced on twitter with a new offer yesterday.

Asking to be not considered for Missouri job is a good sign…he know he in a great position here.
