Not saying AP the final stop for Hill but considering that his former K-State colleague is giving him this “second chance” to prove he’s put his drinking problem behind him, don’t think Hill going anywhere soon. He has to know that if he’s arrested again, etc., that his coaching career would be over.
And now back on topic, just reading several tweets by Jeff Goodman about Mitchell Robinson. Apparently latest “gossip” has him considering going pro overseas since he didn’t attend first summer session at WKU.
Of course, his absence had something to do with his trying out for the USA U-19 team currently playing in the 2017 FIBA World Cup in Egypt. Among the final cuts. Perhaps Calipari could have used Robinson seeing Canada beat USA 99-87 today!
Anyway, plan is for Robinson to be in class on Monday when second session begins. If he’s not, then the tongues will definitely be wagging!

Good! I don’t care what the other schools are doing to raise their profile. The conference is in dire need of something to hype, so however Stansbury is doing it is fine by me. If they’re doing it the wrong way and just shooting themselves in the foot long term, that’s on them. As long as it is not us, no press is bad press for CUSA.

Per Evan Daniels, Robinson and Stansbury were going to meet today but the latter cancelled to focus on preparation for WKU’s upcoming preseason trip to Costa Rica.
And if you think this Hilltopper soap opera would be burning up the WKU fan message boards, you’d be very mistaken!
WKU has an impressive basketball history. They have been to the Final Four. They have gone to Sweet Sixteen as recently as 2008. They have produced many NBA/ABA players.
Someone should be able to win there without the drama. Stansbury took Mississippi State to a Final Four in 1996 and resigned suddenly.
Stansbury did not coach Mississippi State until 1998, Richard Williams took Miss State to Final Four. He took them to an NIT Final Four in 2007 though.

If he does end up in college, will probably be LSU.
Like recent NC State pickup Braxton Beverly (originally signed with Ohio State but received release after Thad Matta’s ouster), Robinson will have to receive an NCAA waiver to play this season as both had already enrolled at their previous schools.
