49erMatt, do you work for Sony? Can’t this get its own thread instead of spamming Xbox Live? I mean, it’s Xbox Live thread, not a fanboy thread.
Maybe you guys just don't read that well. In my last post I said there is no point in arguing with your little 360 clan. You would defend your 360 if it was on fire. So why try to reason with the unreasonable. By the way NovaNiner, maybe you should get your facts straight before posting. PS3 has outsold 360 in 2008 in the US. Check the stats, and again back to your RROD discussion I'm going to watch a Blu-Ray.
And pay twice as much to do so… no thanks.

It would probably die after about ten posts. Seven of those would be 49erMatt’s.

When is the last time you checked PS3 vs 360 prices. PS3 is $100 higher. Not quite twice as much.

Maybe you should see the part I highlighted above, read, comprehend and then have an answer to what I was referring to.
I was saying Blu-Ray discs will cost you nearly twice as much as a DVD, hell HD-DVD did before they got the boot, and a Blu-ray will look the same as a DVD if the user doesn’t have a good enough TV along with the correct cables.
I think it is funny that he accused me of not being able to read and then said he was going to watch Blu-ray, like I’m not able to.
I was playing Guitar Hero 3 when i got the ring of death, but i had my xbox for over 2 years before it did the red ring of death. My xbox live name is: Bleacher Bums
I have a lot of games but online i mainly play COD:4 or GoW or GTA4 or Halo 3. Sometimes ill play NCAA 2k8 or NHL 2008 or Fifa 2008 but thats about it.
I was playing COD4. I got it after trying to turn the 360 off with my controller. Then it wouldn’t load a game at all and just flashed red.
THOR4949 is my gamertag. Play mostly COD4.

Sales in 2008 are a fraction of the total sales for 7th gen systems. Total XBox 360 sales in the US through the end of April was 10 million. Total PS3 sales in the US through the end of April was 4 million. There is no chance, 0, that the PS3 will make up that ground in 2008 if ever.
FYI, the Wii has sold about 11 million in the US but its latent demand is probably more like 14 or 15 million since they can’t keep up with demand.

I understood exactly what you were saying, your just wrong, again. Maybe you should walk in to your local Best Buy and check out the Blu-Ray section. They have dropped the prices to $20 instead of $30 from a few months ago. Which is the same price DVD’s have always been.
As for your second point, I’m not sure why picture quality was even brought in to this discussion because it only shows your ignorance on the subject but since you did I’ll comment. Your right about having to have an HD TV to veiw the difference between BD and standard dvd’s but most people that have BD technology have a compatible TV. There pretty common these days. Even if they don’t have HD TV now they eventually will and trust me standard dvd’s aren’t even in the same galaxy as BD and is well worth the additional $5 per disc.

Just look at the projected sales total from the article NinerWupAss posted. Thats all you need to know and thats gotta hurt. These silly #'s you’ve put on here only shows that 360 was selling units a full year before PS3 sold it’s first unit. PS3 is now selling just as many units as 360 and then some “yes is the US as well as Japan” and those #'s are only going to tip more and more towards PS3 now that the games are on the way and the price is coming down. Not just you powerbait but all 360 fans enjoy your hayday while it last because when the current console war is over in 5-6 years 360 will be nowhere to be found in terms of overall sales. Even if PS3 only sales half of what it’s projected to sale, it will still outsale 360. Thats not coming from just a PS3 fanboy as you all say, thats coming from Cnet, or are they biased towards Sony as well.
Who cares about what they are going to do? I’ll deal with that when it happens. Haze was supposed to be awesome, a system seller. It sucks.
PS3, in the US, sucks right now.

How did I know thats what you would respond with. Not much of a forward thinker are you. I guess you 360 guys have stay in the now because according to Cnet the future is PS3. 360 has already seen it’s best days. Sorry
You’re not much of a reader are you?
I already have a PS3.
Also, Gears of War 2, Too Human, and the finally co-op Fable 2 aren’t out yet. Oooh, and Mass Effect 2 & 3. Maybe after those games come out, I will be ready to give up on my 360. But I doubt it, cause I still have to get the new Sonic Unleashed.
Heck, there are so many games I want for the 360 that it’s not even funny. Sure, some aren’t exclusives, but the third party support is there, and they are turning out much better first party games. When Sony finally gets their head out of their asses, maybe we’ll dust off the system and play. I hope so, cause so far, it has been money ill spent.

Well good for you, you are one of the lucky few that will get to see the dominate years of both systems. The last 2 years from 360, while PS3 was getting started, and the next 5-7 years that PS3 will dominate. You shouldn’t be so bitter.
The only thing I would be bitter about is owning such a crappy, waste of money.
But, it seems more that you’re the one who is bitter because you find yourself in the unenviable position of defending that waste of space.

And in doing so, 49erMatt, you’re wasting our space. Please take your opinions, which we could care less about, and focus them in a PS3 thread. I’m sure there are one or two others who would love to have an in-depth conversation on Haze’s intuitive AI.
